The New York Sun was founded by Benjamin Day in new york in 1833 and published until 1950. It is considered to be the first successful tabloid in the United States, and it became the beginning of American commercial publications. Because of its success and pioneering role, Bennett's New York Herald and new york Tribune are called the three tabloids in the history of American journalism. This newspaper sells for a penny each, and it is the first newspaper to be sold on the street.
