Zhanhua is a subordinate jurisdiction of Binzhou City, Shandong Province. Located in the north of Shandong Province, on the south bank of Bohai Bay, it is the north gate of Shandong Province. It covers an area of 22 15 square kilometers and governs 12 towns and offices, with a total population of 380,000 in 2007. According to the official reply of the State Council on September 9, 20 14 (Guo Han [2014]19), Zhanhua County was abolished and Zhanhua District of Binzhou City was established. The administrative area of Zhanhua County is Zhanhua District, and the Zhanhua District People's Government is located in Guo Fu Street, Wu Jinhai. 1 Zhanhua Yugu Opera was listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and Zhanhua was named "the hometown of winter jujube in China" by the state.
