Caofeidian wetland is the largest coastal wetland in the north. The total area is 540 square kilometers, including provincial wetland and bird nature reserve 1 10 square kilometers. There are more than 200 species of wild animals and plants in the wetland, including 238 species of wild plants belonging to 63 families 164 genera and 307 species of birds belonging to 52 families 17 orders. Caofeidian Wetland is the permanent meeting place of Caofeidian Forum and has the largest wetland hot spring center in northern China. It is a tourism, leisure and holiday community integrating bird protection, wetland experience, popular science education, business clubs, sports and leisure, cultural creativity and ecological residence.

2. Caofei Lake

There is a beautiful and touching legend by Caofei Lake. According to legend, in the 19th year of Zhenguan (645), Li Shimin led an expedition to North Korea, and the coastal highway passed through here. Due to the humid climate and acclimatization, soldiers in the army suffer from skin diseases and need urgent treatment. Fisherman Cao Xian led the soldiers to heal after bathing in the local hot springs. Li Shimin was very happy and summoned Cao Xian. Seeing her intelligence, wisdom, natural beauty, gentleness and understanding, I named her a concubine.

There is an ancient lighthouse on Caofeidian Island, which guides the navigation at sea. After many transformations, the natural phenomenon of "Ancient Well Gu Quan" and the story and legend of "Fa Ben Zen Master burning his fingers and turning a lamp" appeared on the island.
