What does forklift mean?
Forklift is an industrial handling vehicle, which refers to various wheeled handling vehicles used for loading and unloading pallet goods, stacking and short-distance transportation.

Forklifts can usually be divided into three categories: internal-combustion forklifts, electric forklifts and storage forklifts. Diesel forklifts are divided into ordinary diesel forklifts, heavy forklifts, container forklifts and side forklifts. Ordinary diesel forklift trucks can run continuously for a long time because of its convenient fuel supply, and are competent for working in harsh environments (such as rainy days). Heavy forklift trucks are generally used for outdoor work in industries with heavy goods such as docks and steel.

Container forklifts can generally be divided into empty container stackers, heavy container stackers and container front cranes. Used for container loading and unloading, such as container yard or port terminal operation. The side forklift does not need to turn, and it has the ability to fork goods directly from the side.

The electric forklift is driven by motor and powered by battery. Because of its low noise, it is widely used in indoor work and other working conditions with high environmental requirements, such as medicine, food and other industries. With people's attention to environmental protection, electric forklifts are gradually replacing internal combustion forklifts. Because each battery pack usually needs to be recharged after working for about 8 hours, it needs to be equipped with a spare battery.

Storage forklift, mainly used for cargo handling in the warehouse. Except for a few forklifts (such as manual pallet trucks), they are all driven by electric motors. Because of its small body, flexible movement, light weight and good environmental protection performance, it is widely used in warehousing industry.

Forklift driving rules

When driving (1), the height of the fork bottom from the ground should be kept at 300-400 mm, and the gantry should be tilted backwards.

(2) Don't lift the fork too high when driving. When entering or leaving the work site or driving, pay attention to whether there are obstacles blowing through the air. When carrying goods, if the fork rises too high, it will increase the overall gravity center height of the forklift and affect the stability of the forklift.

(3) After unloading, the fork should be lowered to the normal driving position before driving.

(4) When turning, if there are pedestrians or vehicles nearby, signal that it is forbidden to make sharp turns at high speed. A sharp turn at high speed will cause the vehicle to lose its lateral stability and turn over.

(5) When the diesel forklift goes downhill, it is forbidden to stall and slide.

(6) When the goods are moving, it is forbidden to brake suddenly unless there are special circumstances.

(7) When the load travels more than 7 degrees and goes up and down at a speed higher than the first gear, the brake shall not be used unless there are special circumstances.

(8) Forklift trucks must abide by the traffic rules of the factory and keep a safe distance from the vehicles in front.
