Wanzhou District belongs to Chongqing, located in the east of Sichuan Basin, bordering on the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and holding the throat of Sichuan. Known as the "gateway to the east of Sichuan", it is 327 kilometers away from Chongqing urban area and 32 1 km away from Yichang city, Hubei province.
