Loquat trees can be planted in the yard. In ancient times, loquat tree was regarded as a good fruit to prepare for the four seasons, which meant good luck and beauty. In addition, the fruits of loquat trees are all in pairs, which also implies the love and harmony between husband and wife. When planting loquat trees, we should choose the position suitable for the growth of loquat trees and play its role.
Loquat is a subtropical tree with high growth temperature requirements. Only when the annual average temperature is above 12℃ can it grow normally, and it is not suitable for growing in alkaline soil. The pH of the planted soil should be around 6-7. The soil for planting loquat trees needs ploughing, so the soil will be softer, which is good for the roots of loquat trees and can increase their root development.
Matters needing attention in loquat tree planting:
1, planting area
It is best to plant loquat trees in a warm climate. Generally speaking, it can be planted in areas without particularly cold weather. Loquat trees are planted in most parts of southern and central China, mainly as fruit trees and also as greening trees. The temperature difference in the northern climate is obvious throughout the year, and only a few areas will plant loquat trees in greenhouses.
2. Soil selection
Generally speaking, gravelly and sandy loam, sandy or gravelly clay such as red soil, yellow soil, alluvial soil and paddy field can be used to plant loquat trees. Fertile soil with poor drainage is not as good as poor soil with good drainage. Loquat tree is not suitable for cultivation in cohesive soil with high groundwater level and flat land.
3. Planting method
Before planting, dig a planting hole with a depth of 0.8m and a side length of 1m in February, and apply sufficient fertilizer. When planting saplings, first plant saplings vertically, then backfill soil, cover them with a layer of fine sand, pour root water or a thin layer of biological stimulator, and then cover the tree tray with soil.
