1. When applying to the traffic police department for mediation, both parties shall reach an agreement through consultation and submit a written mediation application. 2. Determine the participants in mediation.
The following persons may participate in mediation, but the number of any party shall not exceed three.

(3) Other personnel deemed necessary by the traffic administrative department of the public security organ.
3. Determine the start time of mediation
Due to the different losses caused by the accident, the start time of mediation is also different;
(1) If death is caused, it shall be counted from the date when the prescribed time for handling funeral matters ends;
(two) causing personal injury, counting from the date of the end of treatment;
(3) Disability due to injury shall be counted from the date of disability;
(4) If property losses are caused, they shall be counted from the date when the losses are determined.

1. Proof of the deceased's living support relationship issued by the police station in the jurisdiction where the deceased's household registration is located. Dependents who have the ability to work need to have a disability certificate or a forensic certificate from a hospital at or above the county level, and must also indicate that the dependents' accounts belong to agricultural registered permanent residence or urban residents' accounts.

If the immediate family members of the deceased (referring to the father, mother and spouse of the deceased) cannot come to handle it, they shall make a power of attorney to entrust others to handle it, and indicate who (only one person) will receive the compensation. The power of attorney shall be stamped with the official seal of the local government.
3. The household registration book and marriage certificate of the deceased and his family.
