The Central Judicial Police College is the only full-time ordinary police college directly under the Ministry of Justice. It shoulders the heavy responsibility of training high-quality reserve talents for the national judicial administrative system, especially for prisons, drug rehabilitation and community correction institutions, and is known as the "cradle of judicial police officers" in China.
The school is located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, adjacent to xiong'an new area. Founded in 1956, formerly known as the reform-through-labour cadre school of the Ministry of Public Security, 1983 was placed under the management of the Ministry of Justice. The Central Reform-through-Labor Management Cadre College was established in 1985, and 1999 was renamed as the Central Judicial Police Officer Education College, and began to apply for colleges and universities.
