World E-sports Games (WCG), founded in 2000 and ending on 20 13, is a global e-sports event (or "computer game culture festival") and is known as "e-sports Olympics". The event was sponsored by Korea International Network Marketing (ICM) and sponsored by Samsung and Microsoft (since 2000). The contest has always taken "beyond the game" as its slogan, aiming at promoting the development of e-sports in the world, promoting people's communication, interaction and exchange in the network age, and promoting the harmony and happiness of human life. On February 5th, 20 14, the current CEO Li announced by official mail that the organizing committee would not hold any competitions, including the World Finals, which continued the curtain of 13.
