Seeing the teacher at his alma mater, Yang Jie was particularly frank, cordial and enthusiastic. Before I could speak, he talked about it:

From Huaihua in Yuanling to Changsha and Beijing

"I read it from Huaihua, Xiangxi. My hometown is in the countryside of Yuanling. I am a child in a ravine. My mother was born in a Miao village in Yuanling countryside. When she was a child, she went to town to study with a basket on her back from the mountain. In addition to textbooks, there are cloth shoes sewn by herself in the basket. While studying, she took cloth shoes to the city to sell, relying on cloth shoes to maintain her study and life. Step by step, she ran outside and entered the city.

My parents have done their best to raise our children. Unlike other mountain people, she doesn't care about her children's studies and lets herself go. She taught us to pursue knowledge and go out to explore the world since childhood, and we inherited this spirit from our parents.

My artistic creation is purely a personal hobby, which stems from one of the most primitive and instinctive impulses and completely obeys my inner needs. I like painting since I was a child, and I began to paint everywhere on the ground, walls and paper when I could hold something in my hand. At that time, I didn't have the conditions to learn painting systematically in Huaihua. In retrospect, it is precisely because I didn't study systematically that it was the main source of my success. Many of my things, the original ecological things, have not been erased. I always express my talent, talent and instinct with passion, and the creative concept I have always followed is "what is mine is the world."

Looking back, I think junior high school education should cultivate students' self-confidence, and schools should carry out various activities, not only in learning, so that students of different types, personalities and levels can succeed, thus building up enough self-confidence. The ultimate goal of the school is to cultivate people full of self-confidence and dignity. I don't believe that those who dare not look up at others can make a career in the future. This is especially important for us students who are in a relatively disadvantaged geographical environment. We come from a relatively backward area and are always at a psychological disadvantage to the outside world. We are afraid, uneasy and insecure. In fact, we have great potential, talent and talent in our hearts. So every time I reach a higher level and face a brand-new environment, I always try to be the first. Only if you are the first, others will give you high recognition and your psychological advantage will be formed. I really began to learn painting systematically, starting from the summer vacation of senior one to senior two. I first studied fine arts in Huaihua University for the college entrance examination and the examination of artistic expertise. I can always devote myself to what I am interested in and do my best, no matter what stage. I started from Huaihua, where my study resources were relatively weak, to Changsha, and started one level lower than others, but within a few months, I could draw the best floor of that studio. From Beijing to Milan, Italy

When we arrived in Beijing, our learning resources and art education foundation in Hunan were naturally inferior to those of students in Beijing and Shanghai, but soon, we were also able to excel. As the only institution of higher learning in China with the name of clothing, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology is in a leading position in the national clothing field and has won numerous awards every year. The China Cup International Fashion Design Competition is international and the most authoritative and top-notch competition in China. On the eve of my graduation in 2004, I won the gold medal in the 10th International Fashion Competition, and I was the first to win it in 10. At that time, I won this gold medal and caused a sensation in Beifu. Everyone knows me from the principal and dean of Beifu to the waiter in the restaurant. Everyone looked at me with approval and affirmation, and all the honors that should be given to me were given to me, including outstanding college students in Beijing. During my four years in college, I got a good development, realized the value of life, identified the development direction of my career, and went abroad to study. This kind of thing that I dare not think about because of family conditions has also been delivered to my door. The presidents of three foreign universities, Nottingham University, Manchester City University and Italian European Design Institute, came to Beifu in person and offered me scholarships and invited me to study abroad.

Later, I chose the European Design Institute of Italy to study abroad, which is a world-famous fashion design institute, located in Milan, Italy, the international fashion capital, and internationally referred to as IED. During my study at IED, I got full marks in men's wear design. Milan, Italy is a modern city with strong fashion flavor and high-end ready-to-wear background. People there always give clothes a deep satisfaction. Clothes are colorful, infectious and changeable in style. There seems to be life on the clothes. The Fashion Institute of IED European Design Institute is located in Milan. This long-established educational institution focuses on innovative and diversified teaching methods. My design can be affirmed and appreciated by world-class experts, which gives me confidence and courage to go to the world stage.

Those of us who live in Xiangxi, Huaihua, have a spirit of not being afraid of difficulties in our bones. I think the most important thing is to maintain and develop this mental state. Because of the changes of the times, our original character will be erased by the environment, which will be a very regrettable thing. My biggest experience and feeling in these years is that we don't have to be demanding what the result is, but we should clearly understand whether I have done it with my heart, whether I have really worked hard, and whether the goal I want to set is really right, not just talking. People need to have high goals, but they should put them into action. It is easy for people to retreat and give up their goals. In fact, what we need to do is to do our best. People have great potential and need to be tapped. No matter who he is, if he succeeds, he will only give full play to his inner potential higher than others, and giving full play to his potential depends on perseverance, your endurance and the spirit of never giving up.

Apart from my personal hobbies, interests and talents, I can achieve so little today. Tracing back to the source, it is good for our authentic Xiangxi people's perseverance, courage and never give up. When I am in a new environment, I will always reposition myself quickly, find new goals, start new pursuits, constantly adapt, optimize and develop, try my best, and more importantly, work hard besides my love and talent.

At that time, I participated in the International Fashion Design Competition. At that time, there were many corporate designers with strong financial strength at home and abroad, designers with many years of work experience, and some well-known designers at home and abroad. And I was just an undergraduate, and no one would give me money, so I had to rely on myself. In order to do the entries, I went to the factory in the south by myself, slept next to the sewing machine every day, communicated with the master workers all day, went to the cloth shop to choose cloth and so on. I learned to deal with people and deal with all kinds of interpersonal relationships. The bigger gain is that I learned to be strong. Assuming that there is no such effort and spirit of never giving up, nothing can be done. Looking back now, it is very worthwhile to eat that kind of bitterness.

Including designing costumes for Olympic torchbearers, I stayed up until two or three o'clock in the evening for a long time. In addition to the normal teaching work in Beifu, I basically devoted myself to the design work. I think high-intensity design work can inspire something. What you may see today is our design scheme. In fact, in the process of doing it, we have produced many design schemes. The materials of our own work process are piled up by at least one person. It's been a long time. Turn it over and think again. I think it's hard, but it's meaningful.

Fashion Design Activities from Milan to China

"If I go to lecture, I will often show you three pictures. One is the diaojiao building in Miao village in western Hunan. When I was a child, I lived in my grandmother's house in Yuanling rural area. Very beautiful; One is the Forbidden City in Beijing when I was in college, which is quaint and spectacular; One is the cathedral in Milan, Italy, the largest Gothic building in the world. These three photos have distinct cultural differences, forming a strong visual impact and sharp cultural contrast. Perhaps it is this very strong cultural difference, conflict, collision and impact that has aroused the spark of inspiration in my heart, so that my potential talents and talents can be continuously released, opened and publicized.

In fact, participating in the costume design of Olympic torchbearers needs to go to PK with many people. Our design plan is the height of a person from the ground. Our design took nearly a year, and the whole process is very challenging for your professional ability and cultural accomplishment. The Olympic spirit is very sacred, very global, one world, one dream, so we think that when designing this design scheme, we should be as international and simple as possible to show the sacred concept of the Olympic flame. We mainly use white tones, which is a unified principle. We combine the unique auspicious clouds and phoenix patterns in China to simplify the complex. The simpler things are, the more classic they are, and the longer they last. Consider from these aspects. Because it is limited to the simple global relay of torchbearers, it needs to be universal and recognizable on a global scale. The torch relay symbolizes sacredness, so all previous Olympic committees have stipulated that white is the main color, and it must be a white T-shirt with a round neck in summer. On this basis, you should do your design well and integrate it into China's 5,000-year-old culture, just like the slogan of the Beijing Olympic Games, "The world gives me 15 days, and I will give the world 5,000 years." So we have thought of many plans, including Xiangyun, which is our final plan. We have considered many schemes before, including its color, blue bricks and red walls, etc. We are not only designing a visual costume, but also transmitting China culture to the whole world. Finally, we decided to give priority to China Red, which represents joy and enthusiasm. Of course, the torch relay is also red, and white cannot be changed. Red is our main color. We can see its side. We use asymmetric design to deal with the dynamic process of flame rising slowly. The flowing lines are similar to the feeling of a flame rising slowly. Inside is the core pattern of the Olympic Games, Xiangyun, which represents the stroke effect of auspicious and China ink texture. The auspicious clouds are interspersed with phoenix patterns. Phoenix nirvana represents the rebirth of fire. Phoenix is a lucky bird, which brings a symbol of happiness, beauty and peace. Phoenix. Later, I undertook or participated in many similar major national design projects. Including the men's wear design in the military parade on the 60th anniversary of the National Day in 2009. The National Day Parade Square emphasizes not the visual impact of a single costume, nor the appearance of torchbearers, who are the core and focus, but that the Parade Square is a big color block, which conveys the prosperity, wealth and strength of China, the overall image and the phalanx of 100 people to the people all over the world, emphasizing the big color block and the big tone, and there may be some local close-ups in TV communication. What is your overall effect? It constructs a big color block relationship, not tedious and partial, and needs a pattern or an embroidery on the clothing, so we emphasize the overall and comprehensive treatment when designing.

I am very proud of designing clothes for pilots of China Air Force "August 1st Air Show Team", which is the only air force formation in China that can perform aerobatics. China's "August 1st Air Show Team" is very remarkable. Only a few developed countries, including China, can perform this kind of aerobatics, which can be seen on TV and the Internet. Foreign countries often use trainers or training machines for aerobatics. The "August 1 Air Show Team" has always insisted on performing with fighter planes. This kind of body will be bigger, and it will be dangerous to get in close contact in the air. This shows that we in China are very hard and serious when we do technology. This special army, different from other arms, needs a separate design scheme. They invited me to design clothes for them. Because they often represent the image of China, they often go abroad for exchanges and visits, including some foreign dignitaries who come to China and need to perform aerobatics, so the image of this team is very important. I emphasize that military uniforms should be special in spirit, show national prestige and military power, and have a strong sense of visual impact. You can search my design through the Internet. I put the design center on my chest, with the national flag, the name of the pilot and the eagle symbolizing the strength of China Bayi Flying Team. The sense of speed, ferocity and momentum is very strong, and there are array models on the left and right armbands. On the whole, the color contrast and enlarged icons have formed a strong visual impact, which has been highly recognized and has been used to this day. "

From China to the International Fashion Fashion Design Stage

There are many awards and many media reports. I don't care much about these, and I don't pay much attention to collection. When I do something, I get into the habit of designing a work. At that time, I will devote myself wholeheartedly. I felt very satisfied after writing it, and even won the grand prize. I thought it was good to be recognized by others, but I don't want to watch it in a few days. I think the past is over, and I should start to focus on new plans and goals. The occupation I am engaged in determines that I can only go forward wholeheartedly and keep innovating. Stopping is the end of my artistic life. Only by continuous innovation can my artistic life be evergreen. Therefore, I can't indulge in my previous success and glory. I will take every success as a new starting point, pursue the next goal, face challenges again, overcome new difficulties and try my best to do my best.

In essence, I didn't lock myself in an academic role, because fashion design is a very pragmatic industry in developed countries such as Europe and America. For me, we should inject many new, practical and pragmatic ideas into education and fashion education, so I need to keep up with the pace of the times and devote more to practical accumulation. Before that, I worked as a brand design director for listed companies and famous fashion companies at home and abroad. I started designing and developing my own brand last year. The brand name is POKPOKER, and the Chinese name is POKER Poker. I used some familiar playing card elements, such as black Mei Fang and JQK, as decorative patterns of clothes, and skillfully applied them to clothes. According to my own aesthetic, life experience and artistic experience, I showed it in this men's wear brand. The process is very pleasant. You can express your ideas freely, without being directed by others or led by the market or consumers, but guide the market and consumers, so that consumers who like you can reach an understanding with you and achieve a state of mutual happiness. This is also the reason why some designer brands in Europe and America can succeed. I think fashion designers in China should understand this concept, instead of being led by consumers and misled by the market. We have caught up with a good era, and with our own efforts and full preparation, I believe I will make a difference in this industry. I'm glad I can do what I like. There is no boundary between my life and my work. I integrate my work into my life and my life into my work. I am very happy and satisfied with my state.

At the same time, it will be extended to women's brands, fashion sports and accessories in the future, covering the whole field of fashion clothing. In the past, we have been learning and artistic creation from scratch, from small to large. Our brand is the same, it will definitely grow from new to strong, and I will make it blossom and flourish.
