In the joint venture SUV market, there is a model that usually has a weak presence, but the sales volume has been in the head. This is Nissan Qi Jun.

In last year's SUV sales list, there were only three joint venture models with cumulative sales of more than 200,000 vehicles, and Qi Jun was one of them, second only to Volkswagen Tiguan L and Honda CR-V.

However, the current Qi Jun has not been replaced for many years. It has been six years since 20 14 was introduced to China. Its competitors, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, have been upgraded in 20 17 and last year respectively, and their brother models, Hao Ying and Willanda, have also entered the market, so Qi Jun's position is in jeopardy. In the first four months of this year, sales in Qi Jun have been abandoned by CR-V and RAV4.

Finally, Nissan officially released a new generation of Rogue (American version of Qi Jun, hereinafter referred to as New Qi Jun) in these two days, and its appearance, interior, performance and configuration information were all made public. What are the improvements of the new generation models compared with the current Qi Jun, and are there any advantages in the face of CR-V and RAV4 glory?

What is the new generation of Qi Jun like?

Friends who are familiar with the history of Qi Jun know that the model we are selling now is the third generation of Qi Jun. This model first started in 2000, and it looked like this:

In 2007, Nissan introduced the second generation Qi Jun, and then Dongfeng Nissan introduced it to China for production. Many people are familiar with Qi Jun, starting from this generation of models:

In the first two generations of Qi Jun, the overall style was rough and tough. In the third generation, Nissan began to obviously tend to urbanization and sports, and its design became like this:

Although the sales of the third generation Qi Jun are excellent, it has always been the top spot in China. In 20 17, it also won the title of global SUV sales champion. However, many fans in Qi Jun are not satisfied with the modeling of this generation of models, thinking that it is too compromised to the trend and marketization, and has lost its original unique rough temperament.

The fourth generation of Qi Jun is obviously making up for the previous rough style.

Looking at the whole line, no matter from the front, side or parking space, the new car can recognize Qi Jun at a glance, which is similar to the effect of the new and old CR-V, and the design inheritance is undoubtedly much more obvious than that of the new and old RAV4.

After ensuring the inheritance of the overall design, Nissan designers also set off the tough style of a new generation of Qi Jun through many designs.

The first is the front. As can be seen from the picture, the front of the new Qi Jun is more imposing than the cash, and there is quite a sense of oppression of a large hard-core SUV. In addition to the larger mesh and bigger headlights, it is more important that the designer intends to make the hood straighter and the front face vertical. This is contrary to the current style of Qi Jun.

The side, waist line and shoulder line are no longer streamlined lines that highlight the current Qi Jun sports style, but elements with a shallow U-shaped pattern in the middle, which also lays the tough temperament of the new Qi Jun side.

The roof line is also relatively straight, and a thin chrome trim strip extending from A-pillar to D-pillar is added, but it does not extend all the way to the rear of the car like Tan Yue. This design adds some exquisiteness and fashion sense to the overall tough style of New Qi Jun.

The design of the rear of the car is quite muscular, and the huge lower fender still shows the difference between it and other urban SUVs.

Generally speaking, compared with Qi Jun now, it's like a young urbanite with a moderate figure who went to the gym for several months and developed a muscle. It's stronger than before, but we can still recognize it at a glance.

Finally, a new generation of Qi Jun also introduced a two-color body color scheme, which is rare in SUVs of the same class.

Compared with the appearance, the interior of the new Qi Jun makes Bian Xiao more noticeable. Needless to say, compared with Qi Jun at present, the progress is much better. To my surprise, the interior design of the new Qi Jun is more textured than the new Tianlai, which was replaced more than a year ago. All-LCD instrument and electronic gear lever appeared for the first time on a new generation of Nissan models. The texture of the central control panel and the design of the central control area are more exquisite than the interior of Teana.

If the appearance of the new Qi Jun has a lot of inheritance, its interior is really brand-new.

The overall size is reduced, but the space is increased?

After understanding the design changes, everyone should be most concerned about the size and performance of the new Qi Jun.

First of all, in terms of platform, Nissan's attitude is relatively obscure, clearly claiming that Xinqijun adopted a brand-new platform, but did not announce which platform it came from. Foreign media speculated that the new Qi Jun should adopt the CMF-C/D architecture of Renault-Nissan Alliance, but the manufacturer did not specify whether it was related to the arrest of carlos ghosn last year.

However, it is somewhat disappointing that compared with cash, the size of the new Qi Jun has not changed significantly. According to foreign media reports, the wheelbase of the new Qijun is shortened by 0. 1 inch (about 2.5 mm), the body length is shortened by 1.7 inch (about 43 mm), and the body height is reduced by 2. 1 inch (about 53 mm).

However, according to Nissan, although the overall size has been reduced, the interior space of the new Qi Jun has increased compared with the cash. The leg space of the rear seat is increased by 0.6 inches (about 15mm) and the head space is increased by 0.7 inches (about 18mm).

It is worth noting that the new American version of Qi Jun has cancelled the 7-seat version, and the function of moving back and forth of the second batch of seats has also been cancelled. In other words, in the future, it is very likely that there will be no more than seven versions of Qi Jun.

Powertrain is not a surprise for the time being.

Judging from the information released so far, the powertrain of the new generation Rogue in the US version is only a combination of a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine and a +CVT gearbox, with a maximum power of 135 kW and a peak torque of 245 Nm, which is slightly improved compared with the current Rogue in the US version.

However, it should be noted that the 2.5L version of domestic cash Qi Jun has a maximum power of 137 kW and a peak torque of 246 Nm, which is slightly higher than the new generation Rogue of the US version. In other words, from the domestic perspective, the new generation of Qi Jun has not brought any surprises in terms of motivation.

As for the 2.0T variable compression ratio engine equipped by Xintiantian Teana, Nissan has not announced the plan to install it on a new generation of Qi Jun. It is still unknown what kind of impetus will be used for the introduction of new Qi Jun into China in the future.

Compared with cash, what improvements has the new generation of Qi Jun made?

The appearance, interior, space and basic performance have all been discussed above. Now, from a more detailed point of view, Bian Xiao talks about what improvements the new Qijun has compared with cash.

1、? Interior design &; sense of reality

The interior design of a new generation of Qi Jun obviously needs to be improved. This aspect is not limited to the overall design, but is reflected in many details.

For example, the cover of the front armrest box has changed from the traditional backward opening mode to the butterfly opening mode on both sides, which can be operated by pressing a button, which not only makes it higher, but also facilitates the passengers in the back row to occasionally take and put things in the armrest box.

In addition to a USB and a Type-C interface, the front row of Xinqijun is also equipped with wireless charging function of mobile phone, and the surrounding area is decorated with strip lights.

The electronic shift lever, which did not appear in the new Teana, appeared in a new generation of Qi Jun.

The advantage of using electronic gear lever is to leave enough space for the storage tank below.

2. Rear row practicality &; Comfort level

As mentioned above, the rear space of the new Qi Jun has been improved compared with the cash, and the care for the rear passengers is far more than space.

Starting from the outside of the car, Nissan designers specifically mentioned the opening angle of the back door when introducing the highlights. In order to facilitate passengers to get on and off, the opening angle of the back door of Xinqijun has been increased from 77 to 85, which is almost vertical, which is worthy of attention for some families who often have elderly people.

In the car, Nissan's famous zero-gravity seat technology is not only used in the front row, but also applied to the back row of Xinqijun this time. Nissan said it hoped that passengers in the back row of Qi Jun would enjoy the same treatment as those in the front row.

Therefore, Nissan is equipped with a rear seat heating function in addition to a zero-gravity seat. This is relatively rare in SUV models of the same class. Of course, it is hard to say whether it will stay in the domestic version in the future.

Children's seats can be installed in three seats in the back row, which is more important for families with babies.

Xinqijun also has a rare function at the same level-three-zone air conditioning, which allows the front driver to control the temperature independently in the back row, and is also very considerate for families with small babies.

Finally, the new Qi Jun is equipped with a sunshade in the back row.

3、? Trunk practicability

The trunk of the new generation Qi Jun is very neat, and as can be seen from the picture, the material of the trunk floor also has a certain sense of design, and the overall texture has improved a lot compared with the current models.

However, this cover is not only exquisite in appearance, but also can be erected in half, so that two relatively independent spaces can be formed, and some relatively private items can also be placed inside.

There is a special storage tank for bottled water and milk on the side, which is very practical for the American market, while in China, some brands with serious oil burning can learn from this design.

4、? Security aspect

In the past two years, the safety of most vehicles has been significantly improved, and the new generation of Qi Jun is no exception.

For example, in terms of car body firmness, the proportion of new Qi Jun high-strength steel increased from 19% to 20%.

In terms of passive safety configuration, the US market comes standard with 10 airbags. If this level is maintained at home, it will tie several new cars of Toyota.

In terms of active safety, Xinqijun's promotion is more obvious. It is equipped with a set of active safety system called "safety shield", including high beam assistance, automatic emergency braking to detect pedestrians, lane departure warning, blind zone detection, rear vertical arrival warning, automatic braking for reversing, etc., which are rare at present.

At the level of advanced driver assistance, Xinqijun has also added a short board, equipped with Nissan's ProPILOT system, which not only can automatically maintain adaptive cruising in the lane, but also has speed limit recognition and automatic deceleration functions.

In addition, in the adaptive cruise state, when encountering a curve, the system can automatically slow down and safely cross the curve.

Of course, all the above are the configurations and functions of the new generation Rogue in the United States, and there is no guarantee that it will be retained after it is introduced into China in the future.

Is the new generation of Qi Jun worth waiting for?

I know about the new car. The next question to talk about is whether to wait.

According to Nissan's information, the new generation Rogue is expected to be listed in the United States in September this year, 10 month, but there is no news about when it will be replaced in China. If optimistic, it is expected to be listed at the end of this year, but it is more likely to wait until next year.

Therefore, whether you are tempted by the new Qi Jun or not, if there is an urgent need to buy a car now, it is not recommended to wait. After all, RAV4, CR-V, Willanda, Hao Ying, Tan Yue and other models currently on sale have good comprehensive product strength.

At present, the preferential rate of cash Qi Jun is relatively large, around 30,000 yuan, and the price threshold has dropped to 6,543,800+0.5 million. 200,000 yuan can buy a 2.5L four-wheel drive version. If you are interested in Qi Jun, you don't have to wait any longer. After all, the publicity of the new Qi Jun is mainly reflected in the appearance and interior, and the powertrain and space are very close to cash.

And if you are not in a hurry to buy a car and value design, texture and safety configuration, I still recommend waiting for Xin Qijun.

In addition, if you prefer the rough and tough style, you might as well wait for the new Qi Jun. If compared horizontally, CR-V, RAV4, Tiguan L, Tan Yue and Angkewei all have their own styles, but they basically belong to the temperament of urban SUVs, and the new generation of Qi Jun has great personality in these models.
