Hanshou black poplar

1977, hanshou introduced American Populus deltoides clones I-63, I-69, I-72, 2 14, 45, Galongyang from Nanjing Forestry Industry Research Institute, and successfully propagated and planted them in the county forestry institute. With the help of Chinese Academy of Forestry, four new clones of Populus deltoides in South China, Hanzhong 17, Hanzhong 578, Hanzhong 592 and Hanzhong 22, were successfully selected and planted in Hanshou and the surrounding areas of Dongting Lake, showing obvious characteristics of fast growth, high yield, water and humidity resistance and excellent materials. There is a boom in planting Populus deltoides in Hanshou County. After more than 20 years' efforts, it has become the largest production base of Populus deltoides in China. 1in March, 1998, the organizing Committee of the recommendation and publicity campaign of China's hometown of specialty approved Hanshou County to be named as "the hometown of American poplars in China".

Populus nigra is an ideal raw material for light industry papermaking and wood-based panels because of its fast growth, high yield, excellent material, wide utilization value and good economic benefits. After years of development, the county has nearly 400,000 mu of poplars, standing trees 1.6 million cubic meters, and more than 7 poplar processing enterprises 1.7, with an annual output value of more than 1 100 million yuan, forming an industrial system that has begun to take shape.

Hanshou jade arm lotus

The contents of starch, soluble sugar and crude protein reached 9.2-12.16g/100g, 2.7 1-2.96g/ 100g and1.96-respectively. Its soluble sugar and crude protein content are at the top level among the main lotus root varieties in China.

At present, the planting area of Hanshou Jade-arm Lotus is about 26,000 mu, which is mainly distributed in Longyang Town, Yougang, Wen Wei, Dananhu and other 18 towns on both sides of Yuanshui River Basin in this county. The annual output of fresh lotus root is about 40,000 tons, with an annual output value of 65.438+0.6 billion yuan. Products are exported to Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United States and other countries and regions.
