The Winter Olympics venues are located in Beijing downtown (Beijing Division), Dazhuangke Village in Yanqing, Beijing (Jinyu: Xidazhuangke Village) (Yanqing Division) and Prince Chongli Town in Zhangjiakou (Zhangjiakou Division).
The National Stadium is an iconic stadium, which is called the "Bird's Nest" because of its unique design. During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Bird's Nest will not hold any sports competitions, but will once again be the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics.
China National Speed Skating Hall is located in Beijing, China. Its design shows the elegance, accuracy, speed and movement of speed skating with its unique appearance. Known as the "Ice Ribbon", the museum will hold a speed skating competition during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. This design creates a fierce arena atmosphere. Twenty-two light bands (or ribbons) rotate around the oval surface and interweave into cocoons, with a height of about 33.8 meters.
This "shell" ensures the comfort and convenience of the audience to a great extent. When night falls, the exterior of the building presents a splendid scene, each light band becomes a dynamic light band, and various lighting effects change endlessly.
The National Speed Skating Hall covers an area of 17 hectare, with a 400-meter-long track and the ice surface reaches the highest standard in the world. The venue can accommodate about 12000 spectators, all close to the competition venue. The two underground floors are used for venue service and parking.
