Sr-2 Veresk (сррр-2 вереск, literally translated as "Heather") developed a submachine gun that fired special armor-piercing bullets at the request of the Russian Federal Security Service in 1993. 1999, the Central Planning Bureau planned to finalize the design of the SR-2 submachine gun, which, like the SR- 1 pistol, fired 9×2 1mm ammunition with Russian characteristics.

As one of the standard weapons of modern army, submachine gun is to meet the needs of fighting in narrow urban space (indoor CQB), or to suppress firepower in short-distance combat (otherwise how to call it "short machine gun"). To digress, let's take a look at SR2. Its improved version is called SR2M, and I will call it SR2 directly. The butt of this gun can be folded up and the bottom plate can be turned over. After the butt joint is folded in place, the bottom plate can just abut against the crosshead. The front handle can be folded into the groove under the armguard. Unlike the AK system, which installs the sight through the guide rail seat on the side of the gearbox, the red dot sight equipped with this gun can be directly installed on the gearbox cover, and the picatinny rail (a small bourgeois) can be installed on both sides of the fender. You can use SP 10 armor-piercing pistol, SP 1 1 low-elastic pistol and SP 12 high stop effect.
The structure of SR2 is very compact. It follows the classic planning of AK rifle, adopts the principle of air conduction initiative, and locks the bolt in a rotating way. There are three gears on the left and right (safe, active and semi-active) (this big pick is very Kalashnikov). The grip is basically located in the middle of the center of gravity and integrated with the trigger retainer. It is an engineering plastic gun body with high strength and low composition. The planning of the magazine is also very special, and the release mode of pushing forward is chosen, both on the left and right sides. When shooting with a gun with one hand, you can press the magazine and take the initiative to eject the magazine (the British gun still has the right to speak when the magazine is fired).
