While filming Revenge of Murder with Toshio Otani, Gan Zhengyan, a famous Japanese spy leader and former police chief of Manchukuo Ministry of Civil Affairs, succeeded Jin Bidong as the second director of Man Ying. Soon after Ganmu came to power, he put forward a resounding slogan "Full profit should be full profit", which surprised both China and Japan in the whole society. Gammu's words must be followed. 1940, "Man Ying" made two new "catheters" and gave them to assistant directors Wenshun Zhu and Zhou Xiaobo, which created opportunities for Wenshun Zhu.
When Man Ying was founded, it was designated as the National Policy Institute. It is a club that undertakes the mission of national policy. Based on this idea, Man Ying devoted himself to filming ethnic policy films, promoting Japan with the help of films, introducing the puppet Manchukuo, clamoring for the harmony of the five ethnic groups, and enslaving the northeast people with colonial ideas. At the beginning of the filming of Man Ying, Zhu Tian, Changhong on the Mainland, Flowers on the Frontier, Iron Blood Wisdom, Dawn and Travels in the East were released to promote the puppet Manchukuo army and beautify the puppet Manchukuo police.
Facing the reality, Wenshun Zhu had to bypass the mainstream national policy films and shoot life films reflecting marriage and family. 1940 filmed the first film "Who Understand Her Heart". This film describes a girl named Xiaoying who works as a servant in the Zhou family. She saw the rich woman dressed beautifully, lived comfortably and wanted to live a rich life. She took advantage of the Zhou family's trip to put on Mrs. Zhou's beautiful clothes, dressed herself as a rich woman, and fell in love with a young man named Zhao. Xiaoying wants to tell each other her true identity, but it is always difficult to say. When the family came back from their trip on Monday, the truth came out. Xiao Zhao felt cheated, Xiaoying apologized and Xiao Zhao forgave Xiaoying. Through such a specific plot, the film shows the girls' impetuousness and pursuit of luxury. The theme of the film at that time was health. 194 1 year, Wenshun Zhu directed the film "Her Secret" with the same theme, telling the story of the second round, a tortuous marriage, reflecting the suffering caused by the thought of being too poor and loving the rich. In the same year, Wenshun Zhu made two films, Newly Married and Wang Mazi Plaster. Newlyweds is a comedy. Describe a very headstrong woman who manages family affairs at night. She didn't listen to her husband and made a mess at home. Guan's father came to town from the countryside, and when he saw that his daughter-in-law had made the house dirty and broken, he couldn't bear it. He asked his neighbor how a man should be in charge and asked his father to reason and mediate. With the help of the company staff, Guan taught his wife a lesson and the family life was harmonious. "Wang Mazi Plaster" describes the life of a plaster shop in order to survive in a complex market and compete with all aspects.
1942, Wenshun Zhu made continuous progress in reflecting family life, and filmed Hate the Sea, which tells the story that his younger brother used his love experience with his sister-in-law to extort money from her. At the same time, the theme of the film was expanded, and the film "Girl's Love" and the costume film "Leopard Head Lin Chong" were filmed, which reflected the life of the people at the bottom, especially the life of the dramatist. During the period of 1943, the number of "full-length" films dropped sharply as Japan's war in the South Pacific became tense. This year, Wenshun Zhu directed only one film, Yuanyang Playing in the Water. This movie is still about family life. It depicts a rich boy, Tang Hongzhi, falling in love with his cousin Tao Huaying, and Huaying is pregnant. In order to manipulate this family, the Tang mother asked her niece Yuru to marry Hongzhi. When Tang Hongzhi refused, his mother drove Huaying away and forced Hongzhi to marry Yuru. Hongzhi thought of Huaying on his wedding night, so he resolutely left and went to work in a department store. Li Xiang, the girl in the shop, fell in love with Hongzhi again, and Hongzhi had to hide somewhere else. Huaying tried to commit suicide after she left home, but she persisted in living when she thought of the baby in her womb. She first worked as a tutor and a pastry chef, and finally gave birth to a child at a colleague's house in a pastry shop. After many twists and turns, Hongzhi found Huaying, but the child was already dead. The two finally came together sadly. 1944, Wenshun Zhu filmed Snow White. 1945, Wenshun Zhu also filmed Lan Zhi's nocturne.
In the eight years of its existence, * * * made 108 feature films, and Wenshun Zhu independently made 10 films in five years, with a considerable number. Throughout Wenshun Zhu's early works, it mainly reflects the hardships of marriage and family and the life of the people at the bottom, and shows the theme of being poor and bullied, and winning the evil in the end. In the "whole film" with the theme of ethnic policy films, Wenshun Zhu stayed away from ethnic policy films and found his own theme field, which reflected the life of the people in the occupied areas of Northeast China to a certain extent, which is commendable. Zhou Xiaobo, who was filming with Wenshun Zhu at the same time, made typical ethnic policy films "Yellow River" and "Spring on the Earth" to please the Japanese and Puppet authorities, which were full of obsequiousness and were spurned by the people. Through filming, Wenshun Zhu United several Japanese playwrights, such as Hiroshi Yagi, Dr. Nagano, Hideki Yamauchi, screenwriter Zhang Woquan of China, and China actors Park, Lee Hsien-ting, Enjia Liu, Sharla Cheung, Bai Mei, Zhang Jing, Ye Ling, etc., so that they can shoot life films instead of or less than national policy films, which is also of progressive significance.
1945, the Puppet Manchukuo was in turmoil. On August 8th, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan and sent troops to the northeast of China. /kloc-in August of 0/5, Japan surrendered unconditionally. Xinjiang, the capital of the Puppet Manchukuo, and Manying were in chaos. On the evening of August 19, the vanguard troops of Soviet aviation occupied Xinjiang. At 6 o'clock on the morning of August 20th, Chairman Man Ying committed suicide by taking potassium cyanide, and Man Ying disintegrated. Under the leadership of Changchun Underground Party, the progressives of the former "Man Ying" organized and set up the "Northeast Film Workers' Union" to oppose the sabotage activities of Kuomintang agents, and established the Northeast Film Company on June 1 945+1October1day, taking the power of the former "Man Ying" into their own hands. Wenshun Zhu joined Northeast Film Company and returned to People's Film.
1May, 946, the situation in Northeast China changed suddenly: the Kuomintang army went from south to north, and the Northeast Bureau decided to give up Changchun. The Northeast Film Company was ordered to urgently move the received equipment to the north, and the progressive workers were mobilized. Wenshun Zhu failed to make the trip and stayed in Changchun for some reason.
After the Northeast Film Company moved out, the Kuomintang immediately took over Changchun. Underground party member Zhang Ruifang and Jinshan were secretly dispatched by Vice Chairman Zhou Enlai to take over the original "Manying" houses and equipment on behalf of the Propaganda Department of the Kuomintang. 1On July 7th, 946, changchun film studio was founded (known as "Dragon System" in history). After observation, Wenshun Zhu felt that "Jinshan is like an artist and a doer". After mobilization, Wenshun Zhu participated in the "long-term system" and served as the section chief and director of the audience. From 65438 to 0947, Wenshun Zhu served as the deputy director of the business card "On the Songhua River" directed by Jinshan, and also played an honest father. Although there are not many scenes, I am deeply impressed. From 65438 to 0948, Wenshun Zhu directed the film Little White Dragon, which reflected the anti-Japanese activities of the Northeast Volunteers. After the film was finished, he went to Harbin, a liberated area, and began a new period of his film life.
