1948 On April 30th, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a slogan to commemorate May 1st Labor Day, which was called "May 1st Call" for short, calling on "all democratic parties, people's organizations and social elites to hold a political consultation meeting quickly to discuss and realize the convening of people's congresses and the establishment of a democratic coalition government". The "May 1" call immediately received enthusiastic response from democratic parties, people's organizations, overseas Chinese organizations and Democrats without party affiliation. This is a landmark event in the history of China's United front and multi-party cooperation, which indicates that all democratic parties and personages without party affiliation openly and consciously accept the leadership of the Chinese Production Party, and all democratic parties and personages without party affiliation have firmly embarked on the road of new democracy and socialism.
