This competition is hosted by China Merchants Shekou, and assisted by China Weiqi Association and China National Weiqi Team. China Chess Saint Nie Weiping, World Champion Guli, World Champion Chang Hao and China National Go Team Leader Coach Paul Yu Pin led four junior teams (determined by the four major divisions of 22 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou). Excellent young players from each team will compete for the championship and get the chance to play with Ke Jie, the world's first Weiqi player.

Judging from the scale of the tournament-spanning 22 cities, the lineup of the tournament-the most powerful chess player in the domestic Weiqi field today, and the holding time-it has been held for seven times in a row (the seventh this year), which is the top event of the domestic children's competition today.
