Zhou Shizong Chai Rong had seven sons in his life. The eldest son Chai, the second son Chai Zongcheng and the third son Chai were all killed by Liu Chengyou of the later Han Dynasty before Chai Rong died, and were named King Yue, King Wu and Hanwang respectively. This is also the direct reason why Guo Wei and Chai Rong rose up and rebelled. In the later Han Dynasty, Yin Di and Liu Chengyou killed Guo Wei and Chai Rong, which led to Guo Wei's death. In the end, although Guo Wei won the world, there was no heir to the throne, so he had to let his nephew Chai Rong succeed.
Chai Rong's fourth son is Chai Zongxun, that is, Emperor Gong of the Later Zhou Dynasty, his mother Dafu and his stepmother (Chai Rong's two queens are sisters). Chen Qiao was only seven years old when he defected. After being emperor for a year, he was forced to give up his Zen position to Zhao Kuangyin. At that time, Zhao Kuangyin succeeded to the throne in the name of the Chai Rong brothers, while Chai Rong was very kind to Zhao Kuangyin before his death, so Zhao Kuangyin did nothing to him. Chai Zongxun was made King Zheng and moved to Zhoufang, where he lived a carefree life as a prince. Zhao Kuangyin also gave firewood? Danshu iron coupon? (Death-free gold medal), to ensure that Chai's descendants will always enjoy happiness, even if they commit crimes, they will not be punished. Only when Chai Zongxun grew up, he was worried about Zhao Kuangyin's attempt to seize his own country and felt helpless about the current situation. Finally, he became depressed and died young at the age of 20, leaving no children.
Chai Zongrang, the fifth son of Chai Rong, is also known as Chai Xirang or Ning Xirang. Chai Rong worshipped Zuo as a general and made him the Prince of Yan. After Chai Zongxun ascended the throne, he was named Wang Cao. Chen Qiao mutiny, Chai Zongrang's maiden Ningshi genial smile that, secretly out of the palace, traveling incognito, living a normal life. In order to escape persecution, Chai Zongrang was renamed Ning and Xirang. Another biography was accepted as a disciple by Chen Tuan, a famous hermit at that time, and was renamed Chai, the second worm. He lived to the age of Song Zhenzong and died at the age of 53. Youzi Chai Ying Shao is the originator of Chai Xing people in Yongfeng County, Ji 'an City, Jiangxi Province (note: this descendant of Chai Xing is not the descendant of Chai Rong recognized by the official history).
Chai Xijin, the sixth son of Chai Rong, was made King Ji, and Chen Qiao was only a child when he rebelled. Zhao Kuangyin asked his cronies what to do with Chai Xijin, and someone suggested killing him to avoid future trouble. And general Pan Mei said nothing, looking at the pillars in the palace. Zhao Kuangyin asked why, and Pan Mei said? My late emperor treated me very well, and if I want to kill his son, I will feel uneasy. But if I don't talk about killing Chai Xijin, and your majesty doubts my loyalty to you, I dare not say more! ? Hearing this, Zhao Kuangyin realized that Chai Xijin was given to Pan Mei for adoption, and he never asked about it in his life. Pan Mei renamed Chai Xijin Pan Weiji and raised him as his own son, but he was not allowed to call him dad, just uncle. Later, Pan became an official for the people and gained great appreciation. Pan died in 10 10. In the true sense, only Pan is a descendant of Chai Rong.
Chai Rong's seventh son Chai, formerly known as Chai Zongjiong, was named Qiu. Chen Qiao was a hungry baby during the mutiny. Rebellious guards read Zhao Kuangyin's ideas, arrested King Qi and King Qiu, and tried to kill them. The two children were frightened to disgrace and began to cry. Yan Lu might as well see its horror. Risking his life, he told me that Yao Shun gave it to Zhu Jun and accepted it, but now he is safe from Zhou Chan. ? General Pan Mei replied:? How dare I think so! But the reason is not safe. ? Song Taizu ordered the retrieval of King Xiaoji and King Xiao Qiu. At this time, Pan Mei took King Xiaoji away, while Yan Lu took Little Qiu home. Later, Chai was renamed and adopted as his adopted son. When he came of age, he married his daughter Jin Lu, so he was both an adopted son and a son-in-law.
Xuan Lu has been living in seclusion in Zhejiang with her adoptive father Yan Lu. After Yan Lu's death, Xuan Lu kept filial piety for ten years, which became a beautiful talk for a while. During the period of Song Zhenzong, Xuan Lu began to be an official and was promoted to the position of Wu Liehou. Today, the descendants of land in Yongkang, Wuyi, Dongyang, Xianju, Gaqu, Pujiang, Longyou and other counties and cities in Zhejiang all regard it as the originator of the mountain.
Another person who has to be mentioned is Chai Rong's biological father Chai Shouli. Because Chen Qiao was alive when he defected. So this also attracted the attention of Zhao Kuangyin. Fortunately, Chai Shouli's unity of knowing and doing played the slogan of supporting Zhao Kuangyin to become emperor and escaped. Not only that, Zhao Kuangyin also treated Chai Shouli with courtesy and let him spend the rest of his life smartly. In 967, he died in the name of Prince Shaofu. Unlike Chai Rong's childless son, Chai Shouli has five sons, all of whom are very promising. His son Sun was knighted by Chai Zongxun, the emperor of the later Zhou Dynasty. Therefore, the descendants of Chai in the Song Dynasty are basically descendants of Chai Shouli.
