Social security card (IC card) is a special card issued by the municipal government for the insured to enjoy social security services. The social security card uses IC card technology to record the medical insurance information of employees and retirees, including names, citizenship numbers, personal account deposits, previous outpatient visits, hospitalization and other information. Employees and retirees can go to any designated medical institutions and pharmacies to seek medical treatment, purchase medicines and settle medical expenses with their cards.
