Liangshan slogan
One day 60 years after the founding of New China, an old man over 100 years old quietly passed away in a small county town deep in Liangshan, Sichuan.

In an ordinary mountain city, this is the most common thing. It was not until the children of the old man found 56 * * * and the national medal from the relics of the old man that they discovered their father's little-known heroic past.

What is even more surprising is that the elderly even have as many as 10 first-class merit medals. However, the four sons of the old man all said that they only knew that their father had played the devil, but they didn't know that his father's work was a first-class merit.

So what did this seemingly insignificant old man go through to win so many honors? So he should become an outstanding general after the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC). Why did he spend the rest of his life peacefully in the county town deep in the mountains?

The old man's name is Xiaoshiwan. 1905 was born in Xiyou Village, Xingtai, Hebei Province in June. He ranks third among five brothers and sisters.

His two brothers are guerrillas, guarding the peace of the village and influencing Xiaoshiwan's thoughts imperceptibly. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, 32-year-old Xiao followed his brother's example and joined the local guerrillas.

However, due to the traitor's betrayal, the guerrillas were scattered, and the eldest brother Xiao Wannian died gloriously, while the second brother Xiao Wangui's life and death were unknown.

The Japanese invaders carried out a terrible massacre in the small village, and their young parents and sisters were killed by the Japanese.

How can a seven-foot man forget such deep hatred? But Little Rock Bay was not carried away by hatred. He knows that it is useless to be passionate in the air, and the hero needs a suitable place to use it.

1July, 937, Xiaoshiwan finally ushered in the opportunity he was waiting for. He joined the 772nd regiment of the 386th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army. The following year, he joined the * * * Production Party in China, and since then, he has accepted the guidance of the Party and killed the enemy to defend the country.

"In order to avenge the lost relatives and hometown folks, I will kill more enemies!" Xiao Yalin, the youngest son, recalled his father's words before his death and could not help feeling something.

After joining the Eighth Route Army, Xiaoshiwan never forgot ethnic hatred and family hatred. In every battle against the Japanese invaders, he always died and took the lead.

When he first joined the Eighth Route Army, Xiaoshiwan didn't even have a decent gun because of the shortage of weapons. These difficulties cannot stop Little Rock Bay. He made a spear himself as a weapon.

"The spear is long and accurate!" Xiaoshiwan often sings his own jingle like this after killing the enemy.

Some people may think, how can a cold weapon spear compete with the advanced weapons of the Japanese army? Xiao is the famous "Desperate Saburo" in the regiment. It is with this spirit of not being afraid of death that the simplest weapon can exert its greatest power.

On one occasion, Xiao and several soldiers found 10 Japanese soldiers bathing in the river while patrolling. He and several soldiers quietly touched them, stole their clothes and guns, and successfully wiped out more than a dozen Japanese aggressors.

Soon, with fearless spirit and wisdom, he became the monitor. When I became the monitor, I finally got a gun, but the monitor Xiao fell in love with the machine gun again. He said: heavy machine guns are the focus, but they are fun to fight.

It was with this machine gun that Xiaoshiwan knocked down countless devils and relied on this machine gun for countless times to provide cover for his comrades.

Facing the cunning and well-equipped Japanese invaders, Xiaoshiwan has a spirit of not being afraid of sacrifice and going forward bravely.

Open the dusty file cover, which records the battles that Xiao participated in:

War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression participated in Shentouling, Xiangtangpu, Changle Village, Changshengkou, Qigen Village, Xiangchenggu, Shuangfeng, Hongyan, Guanjia' nao, anti-Lu Jiu siege, Hundred Regiments War and other battles; In the War of Liberation, I participated in Shangdang, Huaihai, Linfen, Fushan, Meng Lianggu, Jinpu, Yuebian, Gui Yue, southern Yunnan and Luo Yang. He also participated in the battles of crossing the river, liberating Nanchang, liberating Leizhou Peninsula, liberating Yunnan and liberating Xichang.

In an investigation that just joined the Eighth Route Army, I suddenly found a team with more than a dozen Japanese troops from a small and alert person. The team is taking a bath by the river. While he was unprepared, he immediately quietly touched it with four or five soldiers.

After killing the enemy sentry with a concealed gun, Xiaoshiwan and his comrades rushed to the river with Japanese equipment and clothes and shuttle bullets. The Japanese invaders who were caught off guard were instantly scared and fled. He took up his spear and went into battle to destroy the enemy.

Once, Xiao and another soldier sneaked into the enemy turret. At that time, the night was thick and the Japanese army was slack. Brave and witty, he went straight to the second floor of the artillery building, and with rich experience, he smashed the sleeping 19 enemy forces one by one. In this battle, dozens of Japanese weapons were seized, which greatly boosted the morale of our army.

1In late March, 938, the Eighth Route Army129th Division decided to ambush the Japanese army in the xiang tang area between Licheng and Shexian on the Han-Chang Highway in order to attack the Japanese army attacking southeast Shanxi and destroy its rear transportation lines. This was an important victory in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's early guerrilla war.

The small 772nd regiment was arranged to ambush an enemy convoy. And Xiao took a class to attack a Japanese class. I didn't expect to find out when I got to the place that there was a large group of people stationed here.

There are more than 300 people in a Japanese brigade. In the face of dozens of enemy troops, Xiaoshiwan led the team members to run around and finally rushed out of the enemy's encirclement. However, due to the disparity in strength, the detachment suffered heavy casualties. Speaking of which, Xiaoshiwan will cry because of those dead comrades.

But this breakthrough also involved the enemy's firepower, which made the whole war win in stages.

Of course, the most commendable thing is the heroic deeds of attacking the enemy airport. At the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, the aviation industry was in a state of exhaustion for a long time.

In wartime, countries such as Britain and France exercised strict control over the export of aircraft. China Air Force has only a few old fighters. According to the air force report of the Aviation Committee of the Republic of China, there were only 150 aircrafts available for combat in China in 1937.

Moreover, most of these fighters come from different countries, making it difficult to form coordinated operations, while the Japanese Air Force has more than 3,000 fighters.

Therefore, our army has always been at a disadvantage in the battle for air superiority with the Japanese army, and there is often no way to face the bombing of the air force. Therefore, the task of blowing up enemy planes and weakening the enemy air force falls on the small ones.

Know the importance of this task. After careful planning, Xiao took a squad of soldiers and lurked in the Woods around the airport. When the sun went down, he sneaked into the airport in the dark and blew up seven enemy planes with prepared fuel and explosives.

When the task was completed, Xiaoshiwan, as the squad leader, took the lead and covered the soldiers with machine guns. He didn't catch up until everyone left safely.

Thanks to Xiao and other Eighth Route Army soldiers, they fought bravely. At the beginning of 129, their division dealt a powerful blow to the Japanese traffic line and played a vital role in opening up the Taihang Mountain base area for our army.

The famous battle of Changle village is also a battle that has a great influence on Xiao Yi's life. 1938 At the beginning of April, the Japanese army concentrated on 10 wing with more than 30,000 people. Under the slogan of "destroying Shanxi", they besieged the southeast of Shanxi in nine ways.

Our headquarters decided to use a small number of troops to contain the Japanese troops from all walks of life and concentrate on the superior forces to break through.

In June of 5438+05, the Japanese army assembled more than 3,000 people to invade Yushe from Wuxiang North, but our army was forced to retreat with an "empty city plan" and had to flee back to Wuxiang despondently. During the period, it was pursued by our army 129 Division. In the evening, the Japanese army abandoned the city and fled.

At this time, aware of the enemy's low morale, Liu Bocheng, the division commander, issued an order to the 772nd regiment: parallel pursuit along the mountains on both sides of the Zhangzhuo River.

/kloc-at dawn on 0/6, our army caught up with the enemy, and the soldiers jumped off the cliff, cut the Japanese invaders into several sections, and were trapped in a narrow canyon to prepare for the attack.

Unexpectedly, the Japanese army that had already passed through the canyon turned around and sent 1000 people to rescue the besieged team. The enemy flooded in, with the 772nd regiment bearing the brunt. Our army launched a fierce battle with the Japanese army 10 times its own in Daijiaao.

Chauvin and other soldiers fought with the Japanese aggressors for several days and nights, and only 50 or 60 people left in the 100,000-strong army finally broke out and joined the big army.

After the war, the head of the 772nd regiment died tragically, and was shot in the left chest, requiring surgery on the spot. As there was no anesthetic, the medical staff had to tie his hands to the post.

Because the bullet penetrated the sheepskin coat, the wool went through the wound on the left chest one by one. The doctor can only use a thin wire to pass through the wound and take out the fluff bit by bit. The pain during this period can be imagined.

Even so, there are still two shrapnel in his body, and there is no way to take it out. They accompany the old man's life as a witness to his legendary life. It was not until his death that the two shrapnel pieces were taken out by relatives.

So there is such a note on the small disability certificate: Changle village was injured in the battle.

Why did such an excellent soldier continue to be punished later?

1938. Xiaoshiwan, who had been promoted to platoon leader at that time, received a task: escorting 12 Japanese prisoners, all of whom were middle and senior officers with less ranks and above.

In the establishment of the Japanese army, the rank of junior noncommissioned officers is equivalent to the rank of major in our army. If we can get useful information from these people, it will certainly be beneficial to our army's operations.

Xiaoshiwan knew his soldiers' hatred for the Japanese invaders, and he encouraged his team members. But what I didn't expect was that when the team was resting, it was only time to urinate, and his men actually stabbed a Japanese prisoner who didn't listen to the command.

When Xiaoshiwan came back, he suddenly became blindsided and was dismissed as the platoon leader.

At this time, he joined the Eighth Route Army for just over a year. He became an ordinary soldier again, and he couldn't help feeling a little lost, but then he regained his fighting spirit:

"We from the front on the battlefield, don't just for a promotion? Obviously not! It is to drive away the invaders! "

Just when he wanted to understand, he also received a call from the brigade, asking him to make amends. Without saying anything, with a little reluctance and more hatred for the Japanese, he took advantage of the moonlight to touch into a Japanese stronghold, killed the Japanese aggressors who were still asleep one by one, carried away the enemy's dens and seized more than a dozen Japanese rifles. After returning to the army, he received a notice to promote him as monitor.

After the founding of New China, Xiao was wounded in Xichang Liberation War, but failed to go to the DPRK with the troops. Instead, he joined the 184 division on the spot and turned to encircle the Liangshan bandit troops. Thus, in Liangshan, a kind of karma has been formed until old age.

After several wars, he also grew from an ordinary soldier to a squad leader and platoon leader, led the Eighth Route Army soldiers to triumph and successfully drove the Japanese invaders out of their homes.

It is no exaggeration to say that Xiao Lao was a god of war. In 1950s, Xiaoshiwan, nearly half a century old, received the task of collecting opium in Zhaotong, Yunnan.

At this time, the southwest mountainous area has not been completely liberated. Some poor old people have the habit of smoking opium.

When collecting opium, these old people all went to Xiaoshiwan. Although Xiaoshiwan killed countless enemies and was merciless to foreign enemies, he finally responded to the cry of an old man and accepted the punishment according to discipline for his compatriots.

The youngest wife, Xia Qifang, met at this time. Xia Qifang, the daughter of a rich farmer in Zhaotong, is in her prime. After seeing this beautiful Yunnan girl, Xiaoshiwan made up her mind to spend her life with her.

Xiao kept his promise and immediately went to Xia's house to propose marriage. At this time, the anti-Japanese hero was much older than the woman, and Xia Fu swore at the little one who came to propose.

Small unbearable, pulled out a gun, quickly calm down, feel wrong. He put the gun away and apologized. And begged the old man to marry his daughter.

Finally, under the little soft grinding and hard foam, Xia Fu finally agreed to the marriage. But he was punished for violating discipline.

In the 1960s, Xiaoshiwan became the stationmaster of the urban grain depot in Leibo County after he was transferred from the army. At that time, it was a difficult period of three years, and many people were unable to open the pot at home.

A worker couldn't stand hunger, so he secretly went to the grain depot to steal food. As a result, he was arrested. Stealing food from the grain depot was a felony at that time.

After learning about the situation of the workers' families, Xiaoshiwan struggled for a long time, but in the end he relented and could not bear to see him suffer. It is not easy to sympathize with him. He insisted on letting him go and got the final punishment.

"Xiao Lao took fame and fortune very lightly. He later said in an interview with Zhong, then director of the Liangshan Bureau of Letters and Calls.

When Zhong was the stationmaster of a small grain station, he once asked the veteran for advice on the adjustment of work. Xiaoshiwan always smiles and says, I am very satisfied.

When asked about Liangshan cadres who work with Xiao, many people don't even know that this humble old man has such a brilliant legend. Zhao, former deputy secretary of the Liangshan Prefecture Commission for Discipline Inspection, said with emotion: "We used to build roads and bridges together and never heard him talk about his merits."

The children of the old man didn't even know that his father had made so many contributions: "I only know that his father was neutral in the war, but I didn't know there were so many first-class contributions."

The old man's son added: "My father's official is getting smaller and smaller, but he never asks about the organization. After retiring from the army, what happened to the unit and neighbors, Xiaoshiwan always smiled and ran to help. "

Even after being admitted to the hospital, Xiaoshiwan remained optimistic and chatted happily with patients every day. Perhaps for veterans who are already familiar with life and death and have impermanent habits, this pain seems nothing.

April 2, 2009. Xiaoshiwan, an old hero suffering from various diseases, left us forever in the Second People's Hospital of Liangshan Prefecture.

Probably, everything is born and died, and it thrives. As early as 1937, the night of the Japanese massacre, it disappeared in my heart. Since then, Xiaoshiwan has only one goal in mind, and that is to expel the Japanese aggressors.

Now that the task has been completed, there is nothing to worry about, such as Fan Li boating on Taihu Lake. Maybe it has gone through hardships that ordinary people can't imagine, and I don't want later people to suffer like that. The rest of his life is simple and helpful.

After the war, Xiaoshiwan retired and returned to his hometown to continue to dedicate himself to an ordinary post. He lives a low-key life and never mentions his past to others. Even his own children don't know many of his heroic deeds, let alone his great achievements.

After work, Xiaoshiwan, like the old people around him, can sit on the bench at home and talk a few words every evening, and then stumble back to his home. No one knows that this seemingly ordinary old man has made great contributions to us, but he is surprised to see a little sharpness in his kind eyes from time to time.

Born in troubled times in Xiaoshiwan, with a passion and a five-foot spear, he went too far and helped the crisis. He is invincible in the world. Make great achievements for the establishment of new China. However, after the arrival of the Millennium, the old people did not seek fame and fortune, hiding in the middle of mountains and rivers, quietly paying for the people, and even their children did not know much about their father's political achievements. Such heroism has no credit and no retreat. It is worth learning from our generation!
