Electric furnace steelmaking is one of the main steelmaking methods. It relies on the strong arc generated between graphite electrode and metal material to provide heat. The high temperature of 3000℃ ~ 6000℃ can be generated at the arc, which can melt insoluble metals on the one hand and bring the harm of thermal radiation to steel workers on the other. The electric furnace also produces a lot of smoke and dust in the smelting process, which directly harms the health of workers. Neglecting safe operation during operation is likely to cause injury accidents. Therefore, in order to ensure safety in production, we should pay attention to the following aspects:
(1) Be careful not to add harmful elements, such as copper, zinc, tin and lead. When the electric furnace is charged, it will reduce the quality of steel. Explosive shall not be mixed in the charge to avoid explosion accident. When feeding, people should stand on the side as far as possible, not in front of the furnace and the slag outlet, so as not to be hurt by steel slag spraying. After the furnace charge is completely melted, wet material cannot be added to avoid explosion.
(2) Smelting operation in the process of smelting, such as improper operation will also cause accidents. Electricians should understand the requirements of smelting process for power distribution, strengthen the maintenance and cooling of transformers, and at the same time, pay attention to power failure and raise electrodes in time when the furnace boils in the oxidation stage during smelting; When tapping, you must cut off the power supply and lift the electrode. When replacing the electrode, first cut off the power supply, the operator should stand firm, and do not pull too hard to prevent gloves and work clothes from hanging on the equipment. During oxygen blowing operation, the oxygen blowing pressure should not be too high, the hand-held part should be far away from the joint, and the oxygen blowing pipe should not be used to poke materials. When stopping oxygen blowing, the oxygen should be turned off first, and then the oxygen blowing pipe should be taken out. When the operator stands in front of the furnace, he should try to stand on both sides of the door. When there is violent boiling in the furnace, the power supply should be cut off immediately, the electrode should be raised, the feeding and oxygen blowing operations should be stopped, and corresponding measures should be taken. When preparing for the attack, collective actions should be closely coordinated and coordinated. No one should stand behind the operator, no oxidant should be added in front of the furnace, and the molten steel should not pour too fast, so as not to splash and hurt people or damage equipment.
