By 2022, there will be four counties and five districts in Kaifeng, namely Qixian, Tongxu, Weishi, lankao county and Xiangfu, Long Ting, Shunhe, Gulou, Yuwangtai and Kaifeng, in which lankao county is directly under the jurisdiction of the province, and the urban-rural integration demonstration zone is established by Long Ting.

Kaifeng is located in the hinterland of North China Plain, the east of Henan Province, and the south bank of the lower Yellow River. Kaifeng lives in east longitude11352'15 "-15' 42" and north latitude 3411'45 "-35. Kaifeng is connected with Shangqiu in the east, 500 kilometers away from the Yellow Sea, adjacent to Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, in the west, Xuchang and Zhoukou in the south, and across the Yellow River and Xinxiang in the north.

Kaifeng is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains, with flat terrain and fertile soil, mostly clay, loam and sandy soil, which is suitable for planting various crops. In the underground of Kaifeng, due to the flood of the Yellow River, several ancient capital cities and Fuzhou city were deeply buried 3 meters to 12 meters underground, and six cities were layered, including three capitals, two provincial capitals and 1 city, which constituted a rare city-to-city landscape in China.
