Arup is responsible for the design of the passenger corridor in the midfield. The project cost more than HK$ 654.38 billion. It was completed at the end of 2065.438+05, partially opened on February 28th, 2065.438+05, and officially opened on March 30th, 2065.438+06. The first midfield passenger corridor will be divided into north and south wings, with 9 boarding bridges and 1 boarding gate for remote parking in the south wing and 10 boarding bridge in the north wing. * * * Stand in front of the corridor 19, with the gate slogan 20 1 to 220, 1 remote stand, including two seats for A380 aircraft. The existing automated people mover is connected with the airport terminal 1. Many new facilities have been added to the passenger terminal building, including seats with charging facilities, chairs with recliners and observation decks. There are shops, restaurants and airline lounges in the waiting area.
Priority was given to Hong Kong Airlines at the boarding gate of the midfield passenger corridor, and then Hong Kong Express, Jetstar, Letao Airlines, AirAsia and Cebu Pacific Airlines became the second batch of airlines to use the midfield passenger corridor on February 2, 20 16.
