Method of setting up virtual server on Mercury md895n router:
For security reasons, external users can't directly access computers in the intranet after passing through the router, so they can't directly browse the built-in WEB and FTP servers in the intranet. How can we make all kinds of servers built in the intranet enjoy information and resources? Therefore, it is necessary to map the virtual server on the router, and forward the data of the designated port in the intranet to the correct computer to realize the access to various servers in the intranet. Taking MD895N as an example, this paper introduces how to build a virtual server.
Here is a simple example to introduce the specific settings. Build a WEB server in the intranet, and through the setting of virtual server, realize the external network to access this WEB server using port 80.
1. Establish related servers in the intranet.
To build a WEB server, you can use the IIS service that comes with Windows or use the Apache service. Ensure that other computers in the intranet can also access the built WEB server.
2. Set up a virtual server on MD892N V2.
Log in to the MD892N V2 management interface and select "forwarding rules"->; "Virtual server", and set the corresponding port mapping.
Click Save to add a rule as follows:
Through the above settings, the forwarding rules of the virtual server have been successfully set. If the WEB server in the local area network is running normally, the server IP, gateway and other parameters are set correctly, and the corresponding WEB service is started, what should I do if the external network uses the IP address of the router WAN port?
