The Outline of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Integration Development Plan also makes it clear that Shanghai's position as an international aviation hub will be consolidated and upgraded, and its radiation ability to the Yangtze River Delta, the whole country and even the whole world will be enhanced. At the same time, optimize and upgrade the functions of regional aviation hubs in Hangzhou, Nanjing and Hefei, enhance the regional aviation service capabilities in Ningbo and Wenzhou, and support Sunan Shuofang Airport to build a regional hub airport.

In addition, it is understood that the Yangtze River Delta will also strengthen the construction of air cargo facilities, speed up the construction of Hefei International Air Cargo Distribution Center and Huai 'an Air Cargo Hub, and plan to build Jiaxing Air Transport Center.

On July 3 1, the Ninth Plenary Session of the 12th Nantong Municipal Committee was held to study and deploy the work of promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and put forward that Nantong will strive to build a new seaport for container transportation of the Yangtze River in tongzhou bay, a strategic fulcrum of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and a gateway city in the north wing of Shanghai Metropolis.

The meeting pointed out that Nantong will build a high-energy comprehensive transportation hub, a strong port combining river and sea in the northern wing of Shanghai International Shipping Center, an important airport in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta and an important information port in East China.

It is worth noting that the meeting also asked Nantong to build a high-level "Shanghai-Soviet River-crossing Integration Experimental Zone", plan and build a demonstration zone with world vision and first-class standards, and build a spatial pattern of "one main, two auxiliary and one hub", with the experimental zone as the guide to improve the service level and quality of the city.

The specific location of the "Shanghai-Soviet River-crossing Integration Experimental Zone" has not been disclosed. The experimental area is the "pioneer area" for Nantong to build "one area, one port and one hub". The experimental area will explore a new mode of river-sea linkage and cross-river integration, and build an advanced industrial cluster across the river with Shanghai and surrounding cities.

"One port" is tongzhou bay seaport, and Nantong will make every effort to promote major infrastructure and industrial projects to be included in the special planning related to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta; The "First Hub" is an empty railway hub.
