The origin of place names
Langzhong is named after the natural terrain of the county. Langzhong is also known as Yuen Long. Ci Hai explains the word "Yuen Long": Yuen Long, a famous Tang Dynasty, is located in the west of Langzhong County, Sichuan Province.
According to "Longzhou Jidi Jishengli East Road", "In the early Tang Dynasty, although kuí and Yuan Ying of Wang Teng were simple, they were planned in the palace, so they were called Longyuan; Later, I avoided the emperor and changed to Yuen Long. " Yuen Long was originally the residence of the legendary fairy (Queen Mother of the West). Because of Teng's palace gardens, Yuen Long has become another name for the ancient city of Langzhong for thousands of years.
