The dispute mediation center is a national administrative organization. Mainly responsible for coordinating and solving contradictions among the masses and realizing "source governance".

The social contradiction mediation center is responsible for:

1. Receive visits and calls and provide legal and policy services;

2 to guide the mediation of social contradictions in the whole region;

3. Organize mediation of major and difficult social contradictions and disputes;

4. Responsible for accepting and distributing contradictions and disputes;

5. Investigate hidden dangers of social contradictions within the jurisdiction;

6. Supervise letters and visits;

7. Check and assess the petition work of all units in the region.

Social contradiction mediation center has internal institutions, generally including general office, reception department, information department, petition review department, investigation and supervision department, legal service room, people's mediation room, judicial mediation room, mediation room 1, mediation room 2, mediation room 3 and mediation room 4.
