How did Zhang become the "Western King"?
After the loyalty of the steel seal cast by Zhang Daxi's regime, it was nominally controlled by the Ming Dynasty, but in fact it was only to urge Xiong Wencan to pay. He stationed tens of thousands of troops in Gucheng, built weapons and trained foot soldiers to prepare for raising the banner of righteousness again. In May of 12th year, the Ming army stationed in Gucheng and Fangxian surrendered to the rebels. In July, Luoshan, west of Fangxian County, defeated the Zuo Liangyu Department of the Ming Army and won a great victory. Xiong Wencan therefore abandoned the market, and Zuo Liangyu retired to the third place. This loyal army won a great reputation. 10, Yang Sichang, the minister of the Ming Ministry of War, went to Xiangyang, led hundreds of soldiers from all walks of life, and suppressed the insurgents with the strategy of "four regular hexagons". In the spring of 13th year, the rebels such as Agate Mountain were defeated continuously and retreated to Gui Xing Mountain, where they were collected and dispersed. Later, it moved to the border areas of Huguang, Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces. A few months later, we broke through Xinning, Dazhu, Dachang and Kaixian, and found counties east of Kechuan. In view of Yang Sichang's encirclement and suppression strategy, the plan of "defecting to the enemy" was adopted. From July 13 to July 1 month 14, the insurgents traveled all over Sichuan several times from Guangyuan in the north, Luzhou and Nanxi in the south, Chengdu in the west and Wushan and Kuimen in the east. The Ming army was exhausted and had to follow suit and ask where to go. In February of 14th year, Zhong Xian suddenly led an army out of Sichuan into Chu, captured Xiangyang, killed Zhu Yiming, king of Mingxiang, and sent silver to relieve the hungry. Yang Sichang was forced to hang himself, and his encirclement and suppression strategy was a complete failure. Zhang Qijun began to enter its heyday and moved to counties in Henan, Hubei, central Anhui and northern Anhui. In sixteen years, Huang Qi called on farmers to join the army, and the ranks expanded rapidly. In May, when Wuchang was captured, Zhu Huakui, the king of Chu, used the money saved in his palace to help the poor. Change Wuchang to a godsend mansion, think of Kyoto, and call it the Queen Mother of the West.
