Ismailia's introduction
Ismailia (Arabic:) is the capital and largest city of Ismailia province in Arab Egypt, located in the northeast of Egypt, with a total area of about 1.442 square kilometers and a population of about 470,000 (including suburbs). It is located on the west bank of the Suez Canal, about between Port Said in the north and Suez in the south. The canal is widened in the city, connected with Lake Tinsa, and then connected with Great Bitter Lake to the south. The Sinai Peninsula, the Asian part of Egypt, is to the east of the canal. It is the central city of the Suez Canal area and the seat of the Suez Canal Management Center. Known as the "Queen of the Canal", it has a large number of residential groups left over from France and Britain during the Egyptian colonial period. Most of these buildings are still used by canal workers and officials. The city has three ports along the Suez Canal (Port Said, Port Ismailia and Port Suez in turn from north to south), which is called "Three Cities of the Canal" and "Three Sisters of the Canal". One of them is a garden city irrigated by canal water. There are date palm trees, grasslands and gardens everywhere, and there are many hotels and restaurants. The city is clean and tidy, and the environment is quiet and beautiful. It is known as "the most beautiful city in Egypt" and "the bride of the canal".
