In the expressway planning of Jiangsu Province, the expressway from Nanjing to Yancheng, namely Yan Ning Expressway, will be built, starting from Nanjing and passing through Yizheng and Gaoyou to Dongtai in Yancheng, with a total length of 16 1 km. The completion of this road will greatly shorten the time and space distance between Nanjing and Dongtai. This road will build a fast trunk line between Nanjing and Yancheng, and there will also be a fast lane along the road from Yizheng and Gaoyou to Nanjing. Puyi Expressway is the leading section of Yan Ning Expressway. After the completion of Yan Ning Expressway, it will become the only expressway in Gaoyou that runs southwest and goes straight to Nanjing. By then, citizens can travel directly from Gaoyou to Nanjing with only 1 hour, which will reduce the distance of the whole expressway by 40 kilometers and save 40 minutes. The He Lixia section of Yan Ning Expressway will promote the connection between cities along the Yangtze River and solve the problem of inconvenient travel for residents on both sides of gaoyou lake. At the same time, through the integration with coastal cities, we will realize the goal of "connecting the river, connecting the east and the west, integrating Ning with Zhen Yang and building a big traffic" in our city. According to the plan, Yan Ning Expressway will go north along Yizheng Interchange of Puyi Expressway, pass through Yizheng hilly areas such as Yuetang, Xieji and Jeffery Ji, then pass through Tang Ling and Gaoyou, reach Dongtai of Yancheng via Xinghua, and pass through He Lixia. The planned Yan Ning Expressway starts from Nanjing, crosses the Yangtze River, connects the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, crosses the He Lixia area and goes straight to the East China Sea. Ning-Yan Expressway not only adds an integrated artery across the river to Yangzhou, which promotes the development of the areas along the river, but also adds an east exit leading to the sea to Yangzhou, sending the rich resources in He Lixia to the coastal areas. It can drive transportation in the hinterland of northern Jiangsu, such as Gaoyou, Yizheng and Dafeng, and drive investment to spread to northern Jiangsu and central Jiangsu, which is conducive to narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor in southern Jiangsu, central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu.
