1840, after Prince Albert married Queen Victoria, he got his own coat of arms. Although the coat of arms is a royal badge, there are differences. The seal ribbon on the coat of arms is rake-shaped, with St. George's Cross tattooed on it, and the Saxon family is used as a quarter shield. The first and fourth parts of the shield adopt the rake-shaped British royal coat of arms with St. George's cross, and the second and third parts of the shield are Saxon family patterns, that is, gold and black with a green rue crown obliquely passing through the shield body. The prince's coat of arms is a special case, which does not completely conform to the rules of the coat of arms, but is a contradiction. Before getting married, Albert used his father's coat of arms.
In the middle of the coat of arms, the shield is surrounded by Guardian, which is the symbol of the Guardian Medal. A crown and six top ornaments representing the Saxon-Coburg-Gotha family were designed above the garter. From left to right are: 1. The symbol of Macbeth's national emblem: a red bull with a crown, a silver ring on its nose, and a red and white ring at the bottom of the crown. 2. Top ornament representing Thuringia: a golden crown with two silver buffalo horns protruding from it. The buffalo horn is divided into five equal parts, and three bodhi leaves extend from each equal part. 3. The top ornament symbolizing Saxony: the golden crown, which extends the crest of Saxony family, is tower-shaped, decorated with the golden crown and has three peacock feathers on it. 4. The top ornament symbolizing Mei Sen: silver beard, red and white collar and hat, and three peacock feathers on the top of the hat. 5. The top ornament symbolizing the Principality of Ulysses: golden hair, black wings, red beak and a red Griffin around his neck. 6. Top ornament symbolizing the Principality of Berg: a golden crown inlaid with 12 peacock feathers.
The lion wearing a crown symbolizes England, and the unicorn symbolizing Scotland supports the coat of arms on the left and right. The ribbon at the bottom of the coat of arms is written with Albert's motto in German, which is also the slogan of Prince Albert 1 1 hussars: loyalty and affirmation.
Traditionally, all male descendants of Albert have the right to add the coat of arms of the Principality of Saxony in the center of their coat of arms. However, in 19 17, because of World War I, King George V of England gave up the German element of Saxony in the coat of arms.
