"Private Salon of Automobile Design" is a grand meeting of top designers in the field of automobile design in China. All previous salons have attracted many elite designers at home and abroad, and this salon is the fourth.
The salon was attended by designers and related colleagues from more than ten brands at home and abroad, scholars from top art colleges, designers from independent design companies, and senior media, including vice president of Guangzhou Automobile Research Institute, general manager of Changan Automobile European Design Center, Wang, associate professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Frank, brand design director of BAIC. What did you talk about?
The theme of this salon is "Our 15", that is, 15 since China Auto Design set sail. Under the auspices of Li, the editor-in-chief of car home, this salon reviewed and discussed the development of automobile brand design in China with the designers present. From early toddler to now, I can create my own design, which has gone through three stages:
The first stage, mercenaries and shanzhai troops. During this period, China car companies began to hire Italian independent design companies to do outsourcing design, and even set up design centers overseas. These car companies with technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights have taken different paths. The powerful car companies represented by SAIC are developed by using mature overseas technical systems. The "children of poor families" represented by Chang 'an rely on the low-priced car market to get the first bucket of gold.
In the era of relying on mercenaries, China car companies also let China designers participate in the design work, cultivate their own design teams in actual combat, and even try to design their own.
There are also many car companies that follow the successful rise of Japanese cars in the 1930 s and 1940 s and use the cottage to open the way. Some models have been successful, but more models have brought shame.
In the second stage, foreign monks and turtles. The status of the design team has been upgraded, and more international big-name designers and outstanding China designers working in overseas car companies can work in China car companies.

The intelligentization of touch screen has promoted the change of man-machine interaction mode in the car, which not only makes designers need to start thinking about UI and interaction mode.
Even the traditional vehicle development model has begun to appear software development methods similar to Tesla. After the vehicle is bought, it may not be replaced, but it needs to be updated and upgraded regularly like a mobile phone. This brings new challenges to the design work. * * * Enjoy the rise of the travel economy, and the addition of Didi has also brought a new model of automobile design and development.
With the growing strength of the design team, the brand of China has been further promoted during this period, and brand-new luxury brands or series have been released one after another. WEY of the Great Wall, Ke Ling of Geely, Jietu and Xingtu of Chery, UNI series of Chang 'an.
The fourth stage we are looking forward to-China Design = Global Design. The future goal of China brand is to go to the world market and make China design a global design. China brand has been working hard.
