The theme song "Shuke and Beita" of the extended material "Shuke and Beita" is a musical work with animation soundtrack, composed and sung by Jin Fu, and included in the album "Shuke and Beita".
Shuke and Beita is an animated work based on the novel of Zheng, the king of fairy tales, and was produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio on 1989. The animation was directed by Yan Dingxian and written by Yao Zhongli and Nie Xinru. The play mainly tells the story of Rat Shuk and Rat Beta, who are branded as "thieves", flying planes and tanks to help others, defeating pirates and finally defending human peace.
As one of Mr. Zheng's representative works, Shuke and Beita was made into an animated cartoon by Shanghai Film Studio, and then played on several TV platforms, which became an indispensable memory for many post-80s children and made it one of the domestic classic animations.
The positive significance that Shuke and Beita brought to the society at that time was not unity, friendship and interaction, nor was it the moral standard of repaying evil with virtue and sacrificing one's life for righteousness advocated by Confucianism, although these contents were also mixed into children's hearts in the form of entertaining. In fact, it was Zheng's partial criticism of the education system and even the mainstream value orientation at that time, but this animation form and technique deeply touched the hearts of the animation audience.
