Where is the "First Bay of the Yellow River"? Is it Tangke from Sichuan? Or Maqu in Gansu?
Before going to Gannan, the beautiful picture of the first bay of the Yellow River Jiuqu has been deeply reflected in my mind.

The trip to Gannan starts from Lanzhou, passes through Xiahe and Luqu, and reaches Maqu. I went to Maqu this time for the "First Bay of the Yellow River".

Before entering Maqu, you can see two places called "the first bay of the Yellow River" by checking the map. One is the "First Bay of the Yellow River in the World" in Maqu County, Gansu Province, and the other is the "First Bay of the Yellow River in Jiuqu" in Tangke Township, ruoergai county, Sichuan Province. Who is the "First Bay of the Yellow River"? To understand this problem, we must first understand how the "First Bay of the Yellow River" was formed.

Maqu County is a county in the southwest of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, which is located at the junction of Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces. Maqu means "Yellow River" in Tibetan, and it is also the only county named after "Yellow River" in China.

Maqu County ranks first among the nine songs of the Yellow River. The Yellow River originates in bayan har of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows into Muxihe Township of Maqu County from Mentong Township of jiuzhi county, Qinghai Province, leaves the country from Oula Matthew Township of Maqu County, and then flows back to Qinghai, with a flow of 433 kilometers in Maqu County.

When the Yellow River flows into Maqu County, the flow accounts for 20% of the total flow of the Yellow River, and when it leaves the country, the flow increases to 65%, and the supplementary water of the Yellow River in Maqu section accounts for 45% of the total flow of the Yellow River. There are many tributaries in Maqu County, including 28 first-class tributaries and more than 300 second-class tributaries, forming a wetland area of 5.63 million mu and becoming a "natural reservoir" of the Yellow River.

Maqu County has a wide valley of the Yellow River, stable riverbed and slow water flow, which belongs to hilly grassland area. Because of the flat terrain and slow flow, a good grassland pasture has been formed here. Every summer, the scenery of Gannan grassland wetland is desirable.

The Yellow River in Maqu County, because of its flat terrain, slow flow and no suitable commanding heights, can't see the spectacular scenery of the Yellow River basin.

The Yellow River twists and turns in Maqu County and flows from west to east. When it flows to Tangke Township, ruoergai county, Sichuan, it is blocked by the Animaqing Mountain Range and terrain. A U-shaped bend in Tangke Township at the junction of Maqu and Sichuan in Gansu Province passes through the border of Sichuan Province and returns to Maqu County in Gansu Province.

The Yellow River in this section of the Sichuan Basin has become the boundary river between Sichuan and Gansu, with Gansu in the west and Sichuan in the east. The Yellow River water comes from Gansu, and the White River water comes from Sichuan. At this turning point, the Baihe River meets the Yellow River, and the Baihe River flows into the Yellow River basin. After the confluence of the two rivers, the Yellow River turned around here, forming a spectacular "First Bay of the Yellow River".

On the east side of the Yellow River, there is a mountain behind the Suokezang Temple in Tangke Township, which is the highest point for viewing the first bay of the Yellow River. On this mountain, Tang Keren built a wooden plank road and a viewing platform at the top of the mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain, the water of the Yellow River looks like an "S" from a distance, like a fairy ribbon, and slowly floats from the horizon, giving a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of the Yellow River, so the "First Bay of the Yellow River" has become a famous tourist attraction in Tangke Township.

The world's "first bend of the Yellow River", the main river basin was formed in Maqu County, Gansu Province. At the junction of Gansu Province and Sichuan Province, there is a U-shaped bend, standing on the top of a mountain in Tangke Township, Sichuan Province, with a panoramic view of the Yellow River with nine bends and eighteen bends! This is the beautiful scenery of the classic "First Bay of the Yellow River with Nine Curves". You got it?

There is also a temple "Tangkesuoke Tibetan Temple" and a Tibetan village near the Yellow River, where Tibetan compatriots or tourists turn towers to pray.

In the afternoon, enter the "First Bay of the Yellow River" scenic spot from Tangke Township, follow the wooden plank road in the scenic spot and walk to the wetland. The Yellow River winds all the way. The clear river is gentle, without majestic momentum or turbulent waves. It always floats in the sky like a soft ribbon. At this time, the blue sky and white clouds, green grass like flowers, cattle, sheep and horses are picturesque!

Grasp the time to visit scenic spots, don't miss the most beautiful sunset, and walk to the best observation deck on the top of the mountain. There is a distance from the top of the mountain. You can choose to climb to the top of the mountain or take the escalator in the scenic spot according to your physical strength. If you want to take pictures of the scenery, I suggest you climb the mountain by yourself. You can shoot while walking, and different perspectives can have different scenery.

Climb to the observation deck at the top of the mountain and wait for the sunset quietly. When the sun sets slowly at the edge of the mountain, the sun shines through the clouds to the valley, and the sunset glow reflects the western sky. The clouds in the sky are constantly changing, and the river is sometimes golden and sometimes red against the sunset glow, changing into various wonderful colors from time to time.

At this moment, I am intoxicated with this beautiful scenery, forgetting the camera in my hand and feeling the magnificence of the mountains and rivers of the motherland and the vastness of nature. ...

Besides the First Bay of the Yellow River, there are many places to visit in Maqu-

▼ The first song of the Yellow River, the first bridge

Located 4 kilometers south of Maqu County, it is the first bridge built by Maqu in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, so it is called "the first bridge of the Yellow River". The bridge was built in 1979, with a length of 280 meters and a width of 7.5 meters. The completion of this bridge not only facilitates the traffic on both sides of the Yellow River, but also opens a door to the outside world for Maqu County.

The first bridge of the Yellow River has two major landscapes. One is an "arch bridge extending the sun", which stands on the west side of the bridge at sunrise in the morning. When the sun rises to the arch surface of the bridge, it is like an arch bridge that holds up the sun, which is very spectacular. Second, "Long River Sunset", at dusk, looking at the water of the Yellow River in the east of Qiaodong, the sunset gradually sinks to the west, just falling into the long river.
