Huai' an District of Huai' an City was actually a county-level Huai' an City, and it was also called "Old Huai' an", and the county-level Huai' an City was indeed rated as a "national historical and cultural city", so the saying "national historical and cultural city-Huai' an District" appeared.
Huai 'an used to be called Huaiyin now. Later, Huaiyin City was renamed as prefecture-level Huai 'an City, and the original county-level Huai 'an City was changed to Chuzhou District.
Later, "Chuzhou District" was renamed as "Huai 'an District", so that many Huai 'an locals still used to call "Huai 'an District" Chuzhou District in order to distinguish Huai 'an City from Huai 'an District.
So, is the downtown of Huai 'an in Huaiyin District or Huai 'an District now? Actually, it's not. Now the central city of Huai 'an should be in the less famous "Qingjiangpu District". Are you a little dizzy, too
No wonder many tourists have to explain to others for a long time in order to find out where they want to go after visiting Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province. It is because the place names in these places are changing that many people are inevitably confused.
