1949, 10 and 10 set up Taizhou District, with Linhai County, which governs 7 counties of Linhai, Huangyan, Tiantai, Xianju, Wenling, Sanmen and Ninghai, and 2 counties directly under Linhai Chengguan and Haimen. 1978 10 was renamed Taizhou area.

1On August 22nd, 994, the State Council approved the withdrawal of land from Taizhou to set up a city. Set up Jiaojiang, Huangyan and luqiao district, administer Taizhou Yuhuan, Sanmen, Tiantai and Xianju, and manage Wenling and Linhai. The Municipal People's Government is located in the newly established Jiaojiang District. Jiaojiang, formerly known as Haimen, was directly under the jurisdiction of Taizhou, and 198 1 was renamed Jiaojiang. Luqiao used to be under the jurisdiction of Huangyan, so it is wrong to say that Jiaojiang used to belong to Luqiao.
