Comrade Zhu De pointed out when he wrote an inscription for the Wang Jiayu Youth League in Wuxiang County, southeast Shanxi Province: "Struggle and study are indispensable". Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi and other leading comrades also gave many important instructions to the work of Xin 'an Tour Group and Children's Art Troupe respectively. These inscriptions and instructions had an important influence on the development of children's movement in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, and they were the guidelines for the Party to guide children's work in this period. On April 4th, 1945, Yanfu Administrative Office made the Decision on Caring for Children and Supporting Children Groups. The decision pointed out: "The Children's Alliance is a fighting collective for children to seek liberation. We should cultivate it and give it necessary help. They are excellent assistants to break superstition, promote health and spread culture; They are small soldiers who oppose old morality, old habits and all the evil forces that oppress them. In the struggle for national liberation, they also made many great achievements that made the world cry. Therefore, the village government should do everything possible to help children's groups to carry out children's work, and the county and district governments should give children strong guidance and help in all aspects to develop and consolidate them. "
These resolutions and instructions of the party and government organs are important conditions for the in-depth development of the children's movement during the Anti-Japanese War.
In addition to the anti-Japanese base areas, children in the enemy-occupied areas and the rear areas also organized activities under the leadership of the Party, which is also an important force in propagating anti-Japanese and striving for democracy. Among them, the most active and prominent is the children's group in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region. They stood guard, arrested traitors, sent information, took advantage of their young age and were not noticed, went deep behind enemy lines, and accomplished their tasks brilliantly. In the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan region, up to now, there is a story about Wang Erxiao, a little hero who herded cattle, introducing Japanese devils into the encirclement of the Eighth Route Army. The Anti-Japanese Children's League in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region also launched the "Five No Movements": not leading the way for the enemy; Don't write to the enemy; Don't eat the enemy's candy; Do not read the enemy's books; Don't tell the enemy where the grain is hidden.
Compared with the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War, the children's work in this revolutionary historical period has made great progress in organizational form and scale, as well as in the extensiveness of activities. However, due to the war situation, the youth league organizations at that time still failed to establish a national organization and leadership system, and only worked in various anti-Japanese base areas under the leadership of the Party and the Youth Rescue Committee. Therefore, the names of children's organizations in this period also have local colors; Such as Yan 'an Youth League, Jidong Youth League, Subei Youth League and so on. According to incomplete statistics, on the eve of the end of the Anti-Japanese War in April 1945, children's groups or revolutionary children's organizations with similar names were basically established in nine large anti-Japanese base areas across the country. Wang Jiayu Youth League in Wuxiang County, where the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army is located in southeastern Shanxi, has done a good job under the care of the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army and Commander-in-Chief Zhu De. During the Hundred Regiments War, they mowed the grass to feed the army horses, sent dry food to the front, and collected scrap metal and bullet casings for the arsenal. In the anti-mopping-up campaign, they wrote slogans to publicize, took care of the wounded of the Eighth Route Army and did a lot of work within their power. In order to cover the Eighth Route Army headquarters and ammunition depot, several children members died heroically under the Japanese bayonet. 1939 "four? On Children's Day, Wang Jiayu Children's Group was officially named "Zhu De Children's Group".
Children's groups in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region (once known as boy scouts) generally carry out activities such as standing guard, sending information and catching traitors. More than 500 children's league members in Quyang, Zhengding and other places organized the destruction of the enemy's main traffic lines for nearly 100 times, which curbed the enemy's attacks and sweeps and effectively supported the war of resistance. The "five noes" movement carried out by children in the whole border area (first, don't go to devil's school; Do not read Japanese books; Second, don't listen to the devil and don't attend the devil's meeting; Third, don't eat devil's candy, don't want devil's things; Fourth, don't tell the truth to the devil, and don't guide the devil; 5. Don't be deceived by the devil, and don't join the Devil Youth League). It has a profound influence on children. Many children's league members fought bravely against the enemy in order to abide by the five vows, and some even gave their precious lives. On the mainland and along the coast, there are Xin 'an Tour Group, Children's Troupe, Ningxia Youth Battlefield Service Group, Xiamen Children's Salvation Group and Guangzhou Youth Anti-Enemy Vanguard with literature and art as their fighting weapons. Under the leadership of the party, they overcame many difficulties with great patriotic enthusiasm and did a lot of anti-Japanese propaganda work.
In addition, under the leadership of the Party, the work of children with difficulties in Shanghai, the work of newspaper boys in Chongqing, and the work of child care in Wuhan, Changsha and Guangzhou have also contributed to the anti-Japanese national salvation movement and the cultivation of children. Some children's groups also went overseas to carry out anti-Japanese propaganda, fund-raising and condolence activities, which were warmly welcomed and strongly supported by people from all walks of life and patriotic overseas Chinese.
In eight years, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression United and educated the people of the whole country, and at the same time, it also trained a new generation of young masters in China. Under the leadership of the Party, children all over the country have made indelible contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, and many heroic deeds have emerged, and a large number of young heroes worthy of eternal remembrance and praise have emerged. Wang pu, Li Aimin, Li Keyuan, Niu, Wen Sanyu and other heroic exemplary deeds will always be praised by people.
