Cai Jiaming, a native of Cai Village, Qingshu, Jiuhe Township, Yongxiu County, was born in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty for three years (1877). He is proficient in martial arts, recruited hundreds of apprentices and established a museum to teach martial arts. But everyone nearby knows that he is a "greenwood leader" who specializes in stealing cattle and horses and sharing stolen goods on the ground. Fortunately, Cai Jiaming's "rabbits don't eat grass beside their nests" is not only stolen in the East Gate of Yongxiu, but also never committed in other areas of Yongxiu. He led his disciples in Xinjian and Nanchang counties, and the stolen cattle, sheep and livestock were sold with thieves, leaving almost no trace. Moreover, he stole cattle and chose the landlord's house, and the poor family didn't get their hands on it. Therefore, his hometown neighbors have no ill feelings towards him.
Cai Jiaming is alert. Legend has it that he once went to a landlord's house to steal cattle and was found by the owner. The landlord threw a fishing fork at Cai and nailed Cai's palm to the wooden post in the cowshed. Cai's finger is attached to the heart, and it hurts the heart and lungs. His mouth said, "it was so close that it almost crossed my hand!" "In the dark, the landlord can't tell the difference between true and false. After listening to Caiyi's shouts, he thought he had missed the harpoon and pulled it out. Cai tried to escape.
1938 10 After occupying De 'an, the Japanese invaders continued to invade south, and occupied Aicheng and Qiu Jin areas north of He Xiu around 1 10. Five armies of the Xue Yue Corps in the Ninth Theater of the Chinese Army were deployed in the south bank of Hexiu River from Wucheng to Ruoxi to fight against the Japanese army. At this time, the people who built the north bank of Hebei "ran away" and fled to the mountains. Although Cai Jiaming is over 60 years old, he is fearless and still lives alone in his village.
Xue Yue Corps 49th Army Liu Duoquan Division 105 was stationed in Chenqiao Sakan (near Jiaochong today) on the south bank of the river. Someone recommended Cai Jiaming to Wang Tiehan, a teacher, saying that he had a deep understanding of righteousness, strong martial arts and a deep understanding of geographical conditions in various places. The King of Qi sent someone to invite Cai Jiaming to contribute to the country, and Cai immediately agreed. At first, Mr. Wang only took Cai as the guide, and because he was familiar with the situation, he was sometimes asked to lead a reconnaissance team to Hebei to spy on the enemy. Cai not only successfully completed the guiding task, but also brought back enemy rifles, bullets, machine guns and other weapons every time he came back from behind enemy lines. Once, he went deep behind enemy lines, and actually beat the Japanese army back with a small steel gun (60 guns). He was immediately praised by Mr. Wang and repeatedly warned Cai to be careful and not to be alone next time. Cai laughed it off and ignored it. Soon, Cai Jiaming led more than 50 disciples to swim across the river in the middle of the night, half of them sneaked into Aicheng, and the other half stayed outside the city to meet the enemy, launching a sudden attack on the Japanese army. The Japanese army is in chaos. By the time the counterattack was organized, Cai Jiaming and others had wiped out dozens of enemy troops and returned safely to the south bank of the river. Therefore, more and more attention is paid to Cai.
1939, Cai Jiaming led a plainclothes team to go deep behind enemy lines in Yinan (present-day Jiang Yi). Unfortunately, it was discovered by the Japanese army and surrounded by heavy troops. Legend has it that Cai Yue jumped into a tree and hid. The Japanese army searched everywhere and found no trace, so they called the "foreign dog" and chased it under the tree before finding Cai. At that time, guns were fired indiscriminately, and Cai was unfortunately shot and died for his country. The Japanese army hung Cai's body on a tree to "show the public" and intimidate the people. When the teachers heard that Cai was killed, they immediately burst into tears and ordered Cai's apprentice to take Cai's body back anyway. Cai's apprentice went deep into Yinan, stole back Master's body and buried it in Jiuhe Qingshu Cai Village. Mr. Wang has a special responsibility to his family. Later generations called Cai a "righteous thief" and made a biography to show his achievements. At the end of 1940s, Professor Wu Zongci included the Biography of Cai Jiaming in the new draft of Jiangxi characters when compiling the Annals of Jiangxi. In 1980s, Cai was also included in People's Records in the newly revised "Yongxiu County Records" in recognition of his patriotic spirit. Rumors about Cai have been circulating among local people.
