Therefore, the work of counselors is ideological and political education and management, and the core part is ideological and political education. This is still a bit general. I remember my husband used a more vivid explanation when he introduced my career to a child at home. He said that psychological counselors are like tour guides, leading the way in front of tourists. Although it is not very accurate, it is quite vivid and impressed me deeply. The duty of a counselor is to be a student's intimate friend and life mentor.

I believe that every counselor is well aware of the job responsibilities of counselors, and there are many kinds of vocational training and skill guidance for counselors, but most counselors may shout "No baby!" It is not that I don't want to do it, but that it is really difficult to do it well.
There is a lingua franca on campus-"Who is your counselor? Please find a psychological counselor! " It is said that counselors have 12 seasons every year: orientation season, evaluation season, examination season, graduation season ... counselors are too busy to have time to talk with every freshman regularly, and freshmen become old students; Too busy to find the subtle changes of each student in time and provide targeted counseling; I am too busy to absorb the nutrients I need, to precipitate myself, or even to be confused, so it is difficult to complete my most professional ideological and political education.

Through the study of "Regulations on the Construction of Counselor Team in Colleges and Universities" and combined with my own practice in the post of college counselor, I have a more comprehensive understanding and understanding of the work of college counselors. College counselors are the main force engaged in moral education and ideological and political education of college students, an important part of teachers, a guide, a guide and a bosom friend for the healthy growth of college students, an important source of reserve cadres of the party and the government, and shoulder the dual tasks of ideological education and administrative management. Therefore, as a college counselor, I have the following three experiences.
The first thing is to be knowledgeable. The work of college counselors is a systematic project, involving many aspects. Moreover, with the development of society, young students' thoughts are more and more active and more open than before. Due to the majority of only children, they lack social experience, lack of experience, immature thinking and handling problems, and weak self-management ability. This requires us to determine the educational ideas suitable for students' characteristics and implement effective educational methods according to their specific conditions. Faced with such a group, I thought of learning from the teachers around me and exchanging management experiences with each other. Zhang Xiaoming, deputy secretary of the General Party Branch of our College of Literature, has worked in the college for a long time and has a lot of experience in managing students, so I asked him for advice. He also unreservedly introduced to me the methods, experiences and lessons in the process of managing students' work. For example, different methods are adopted for different students in management education to achieve the same effect. Some students are thin-skinned and face-saving, so they can't criticize and educate in public and can only talk alone, while some students think they are well informed, criticize anonymously and talk alone, which can't touch their thoughts and souls. When necessary, they can criticize by name in order to educate the majority.
At work, I found that the common shortcomings of boys are skipping classes, being late, leaving early, skipping classes and staying up late to surf the Internet. The common problems among girls are mostly trivial contradictions, but if they are not found and handled in time, they can also form fierce quarrels and conflicts. Moreover, once the gap between girls is formed, it is often easy to bear grudges in mind and it is not easy to eliminate them for a while. This requires active persuasion and timely resolution of contradictions. In a word, to be a good college counselor, we must do it well in school and in middle school. It is an effective way to improve the work of college counselors by going deep into classrooms and dormitories, communicating with students and summing up experiences and lessons in practice.
The second is to love. I started working on the day when the freshmen reported for duty. I carefully checked the files of each freshman, learned as much as possible about their family, remembered their names, and made detailed records in my work notes, so that when the freshmen reported for duty, I could tell their names and graduation schools. Because I know that when I meet these students, if I can immediately call out their names and talk to them about their hometown, I can get close to them quickly and communicate well, so as to manage them well. I remember that night after registration, although I was very tired, I insisted on going to the student dormitory to see if they had settled down and had any difficulties. I told them about the safety, life and unity of each dormitory. In the later communication, some students told me that they were very moved when they saw the university counselor teacher coming to see us in the dormitory, and they accepted me as a university counselor teacher who was not much older than them.
The students in my class come from all parts of the province, with different customs, living habits and family education backgrounds. The school level determines that the entrance scores of these students will not be too high, but I think we should not only focus on the shortcomings of students' low academic performance, but should be better at digging and discovering the bright spots in them. They need more care, because they may have heard more criticism than care and praise, not only at school, but also at home, which requires us to create one for them. Only by caring for them can we find their simplicity and shining ideological and moral light. Although their academic performance is a little worse and there are more minor problems, I believe that the moral character of the vast majority of students is good. Only by correcting your attitude can you truly care for your students, and the relationship between students and college counselors and teachers can be harmonious. Your critical education can make students truly accept their thoughts and feelings and consciously overcome their shortcomings. We often say that the power of love is great. Let's educate and guide our students with all our love. How many students can't be educated? The key is whether we are in the right position. As long as the time is up, most students can successfully complete their studies under the guidance of teachers.
On the other hand, I think students should not only learn to accept love, but also learn to give love, asking them to love their motherland and not to do anything harmful to the country. Love your parents and do something for them; Love the class collective, everyone should regard the honor of the class higher than their own honor.
Third, we must be able to manage. The work of college counselors is a thousand words, and it will eventually be implemented in management. In student management, I adopt the management mode of combining institutionalization, standardization and scientificity, and add humanized management in practice. Through military training, I can learn more about the students in my class. In such collective activities, it is easy to see a student's basic qualities, such as which student is more active in military training, more willing to serve his classmates and better communicate with them. Then I think these students should at least adapt to college life better than other students, and the collective needs such people, so the class cadres can let these students take up their posts and adjust them if there are problems; On the other hand, some students have poor military training results, disobey orders, take time off at every turn, and want to go back to the dormitory to rest, so these students need my special attention to prevent them from having the same problems in their future study and life.
After returning from the National Day holiday, freshmen have officially started their college life. In order to enable them to adapt to college life more quickly, cultivate their independent ability and study life better, besides regular class meetings, I hold a theme class meeting in my class every once in a while, so that students can discuss how to be a real college student, how to learn knowledge and exercise their abilities better in college. This effect is very good. Some students told me that after each discussion, the theme of their sleeping party at night must have just been discussed. So I think these students are all good students, all good students, all reasonable students, all students who can educate well, depending on whether you are willing to spend time and energy to work.
Sometimes some students in the class make mistakes, which I think is very representative, so I initiated a discussion in the class, and the students themselves know the right or wrong of things. For example, some students like surfing the Internet, so I asked them to organize debates to discuss the pros and cons of surfing the Internet. Finally, I came to the conclusion that surfing the Internet should be moderate, that is, it would not affect their study or harm their health. Then from then on, most students can restrain themselves from surfing the Internet on weekends, instead of going to Internet cafes to play online games all night whenever they have time.
The problem of students studying by themselves at night is a difficult problem in my work. At first, some students didn't understand the way of self-study in our school, and always thought that they should be free when they went to college, either in the classroom or in the library and other places. Some students don't adapt to the way many people study together. The learning environment for studying at night together is very noisy, and they don't want to study at night. Through talking with them, I let them know the importance of evening self-study, which can not only deepen the emotional communication between students, but also cultivate their collective consciousness, require them to insist on evening self-study, and students can accept it slowly.
But by the middle of this semester, I found another problem. The number of people who study at night can be guaranteed, but how much knowledge have students learned during the two hours of self-study at night? In other words, the quality of self-study at night. Through the communication with class cadres and some students, it is found that there are very few students who really don't want to study, but it is these people who have influenced some students with weak self-control to make them don't want to study, and chat with their mobile phones, surf the Internet and answer the phone during evening self-study, resulting in no better learning environment for students who want to study. In view of this situation, I put forward an opinion to the class cadres of four classes, that is, there must be rules and regulations to manage the evening self-study, and I handed over the task of formulating the evening self-study management system to the class cadres, so that on the one hand, we can better listen to the opinions of students, make the system more targeted, and on the other hand, we can exercise the ability of the class cadres. After the establishment of the management system, it has been recognized by the majority of students, and the quality of evening self-study has been greatly improved.
At the same time, every once in a while, I ask every classmate in the class to write a criticism and suggestion about the work of class cadres and college counselors, and then collect and sort out these criticisms and suggestions, discuss them in detail with class cadres, deeply reflect on the criticisms put forward by classmates, and gradually correct them in the future work; Adopt valuable suggestions and reasonable opinions put forward by classmates and try to use them in future work. On the one hand, it prevents class cadres and college counselors from making mistakes in their work; on the other hand, it deepens the emotional and ideological exchanges between students and class cadres and college counselors, and makes the whole class work develop in a positive, stable, healthy and harmonious direction.
In a word, I think that as long as you are a sincere student, students can see and touch it, and they will give you back with practical actions. These are what I got: when the school sports meeting was held, I was very moved to see my classmates in four classes wearing neat clothes, holding eye-catching slogans and shouting loud slogans; I was very moved to see the lively and impressive debate between my classmates in four classes. I was very touched when I saw that the students in my class won the first prize in the knowledge contest of the Communist Youth League. I was moved to see that my classmates won the gold medal in the Anhui College Students' Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
With the constant change and development of the social situation, college counselors should improve themselves with a proactive attitude, and strive to cultivate themselves into ideological and political educators with strong political skills, professional skills and positive work style, thus providing an important guarantee for improving work efficiency. At the same time, to become a qualified and excellent college counselor teacher, we must work hard and down-to-earth, constantly study new situations, sum up new experiences, solve new problems, constantly enrich ourselves, improve our working ability in practice, and make contributions to the development of students and schools.
