Translation of China's Ancient Text Niu Jiao Guashu
(Shimi) A cow riding on a saddle made of cattail grass, with a scroll of Chinese books hanging on its corner, reads while walking. Su Yang, the king of Yue, happened to see it on the road, so he followed it slowly and asked, "Where did the scholar come from so diligent?" Shi Biao knew Su Yang and got down from the cow's back to worship. Su Yang asked him what he was looking at, and he replied, "The Biography of Xiang Yu." Su Yang was surprised to talk with him. After returning home, he said to his son Yang Xuangan, "I don't think Shimi's knowledge is comparable to yours." Therefore, Xuangan fell in love with Shi Biao. . This incident was passed down as a much-told story.
