Before the Tokyo trial, Ji Nan, who had just arrived in Tokyo, publicly stated that he would use his experience in the Ministry of Justice to confront Japanese war criminals and subdue these robbers. In court, Ji Nan is eloquent, eloquent and experienced. Sometimes I like to make long speeches, use big articles and quote "famous sayings" (such as Roosevelt, etc. Because of my arrogance, I sometimes have a bad temper. Because of his strong, resolute and overbearing attitude, people nicknamed him "devil's prosecutor".
Under the strong impetus of Jinan, the international procuratorial organs went all out to interrogate war criminals and collect evidence. Prosecutors divided their work and shared the procuratorial work in various stages, such as Japan's preparations for war, the Manchuria Incident in China, Japan's all-round invasion of China and the Pacific War.
1946 On April 29th, Ji Nan formally submitted the indictment to the court. A day later, the indictment was sent to 28 defendants.
At 8: 42 am on May 3, 1946, the car escorting Japanese war criminals came to the gate of the Far East International Military Tribunal. In the view of the reporter of Asahi Shimbun, "this group of war criminals is like a team in a hurry."
Sir Webb, President of the Far East International Military Tribunal, read the opening speech, and Chief Prosecutor Ji Nan began to read the indictment. A Japanese reporter once made a metaphor on the first day of the court session: "Every scene is like watching Shakespeare's famous plays!"
