Li Bai's Thoughts on a Quiet Night was written in Yangzhou Inn on September 15th, the 14th year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (726). Li Bai was twenty-six years old. At the same time, there is also a song "Autumn Night Travel" which was also done in the same place. On a night with few stars, the poet looked up at the bright moon in the sky and was homesick.
