A collection of Buddha's famous sayings:
1) If a person in the world kills living beings, tells lies, takes what others do not give, and offends other people's wives.
2) Those who indulge in alcohol and behave like this will destroy their own (good) roots in this world.
3) You should know this: If you don’t control it, you will be evil; don’t be greedy and illegal, and you will fall into misery.
4) If you believe and are happy, then give. The heart is jealous that he gets food, and he cannot enter into ignorance day or night.
5) If this (mind) is cut off, uprooted and eradicated, then Peter will enter ignorance during the day or night.
6) No fire is like greed, no attachment is like anger, no net is like ignorance, and no river is like lust.
7) It is easy to see the faults of others, but it is difficult to see the faults of others. Spreading evil is like spreading chaff, but hiding it after it has passed, just like a cunning person hiding his good fortune.
8) If you see other people’s mistakes and your heart becomes easily angry, troubles will grow; you will be far away from confusion.
9) There is no trace of the Tao in the void, and there are no ascetics in the outside world. All sentient beings like falsehoods, but the Tathagata has no falsehoods.
10) There is no trace of the Tao in the void, and there are no ascetics in the outside world. There is no permanent abiding in the aggregate, and there is no disturbance among the Buddhas.
11) Those who deal with accidents recklessly and do not follow the Dharma. A wise man should distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.
12) A person who guides people without being rash, follows the Dharma and is fair, and a wise person who protects the Dharma is called a Dharma dweller.
13) If you know your faults, you will know your faults. If you have no faults, you will know no faults. If you have this correct view, all sentient beings will move towards a good destiny.
14) Just like an elephant in a battle formation, I can bear to be shot with bows and arrows, so I can bear to be slandered. There are many people who have broken the precepts.
15) If you tune the Elephant, you can go to the assembly, and if you tune the Elephant, you can serve as a king. If you can tolerate slander, you will be the best leader among people.
16) A well-trained mule is excellent, a trustworthy horse is excellent, a jiaoluo elephant is also excellent, and a self-taught one is even better.
17) It is not possible to reach difficult-to-reach situations without riding on them. If a person is good at self-control, he will be able to achieve it by controlling himself.
18) If the elephant is named as a protector of wealth, the secretion will be violent and difficult to control. If you are tied up, you will not eat much, but you will only think about the elephant forest.
19) He enjoys sleeping but is also gluttonous, turning to his side only to sleep forever, just like a pig that eats insatiably, and a fool is still in his womb.
20) My past mind──I can do whatever I want and follow my hobbies. I now tame the elephant like an elephant master, (controlling) the fluid-producing elephant.
