Zhang Liao (169—222) was born in Wen Yuan, Han nationality, Yanmen Mayi (now Dafu Village, Shuocheng District, Shanxi Province). During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Wei was a famous general, from official to former general, general Zheng Dong and Jinyang Hou. Later generations called him the "Five Good Generals" of Cao Wei together with Le Jin, Yu Jin, Zhang He and Xu Huang.

It seems that there is no special record of Zhang Tai's information in history, but according to Sima Yi's biography, Zhang Tai appeared when Sima Yi went to the west to explore Shu, and Cao Pi was already dead when Sima Yi went to Shu. And Zhang Liao died before Xelloss. So two people are different people.
