The classic Buddhist sayings are listed below:
1. Without indifference, there is no clear ambition; without tranquility, there is no far-reaching goal. Quietness can generate wisdom. The reason why a wise person is not confused is not only knowledge, but also more importantly, calm mind. If you want to see the world clearly, you must first calm your mind. When your heart is in turmoil and everything is in turmoil, don't let a pebble break your mind.
2. When walking in the world, you should know people. When you know people, you don’t have to search them all. If you search them all, you will be suspicious. If you do your best, you will be far away if you are harsh; if you respect others, you don't have to be humble to the end; if you are humble enough, you will have few bones; if you treat others, you don't have to retreat; if you retreat to the extreme, there will be few people.
3. A Bodhisattva is not tied to the Dharma, does not seek escape from the Dharma, is not tired of life and death, does not love Nirvana, does not respect the observance of precepts, does not hate breaking taboos, does not emphasize long-term practice, and does not despise beginners' learning. Why, all awareness is like seeing the situation ahead, its light is perfect, and there is love without hatred. Why, there is no duality in the body of light, and there is no hatred or love.
4. The Son of Man feels that it is rare, but the Dharma is hard to hear. The Son of Man feels that it is rare, and now it has been achieved. The Buddhist Dharma is hard to hear now. I won't be able to reach the other shore in this life, and I will wait until the time comes when I can return the favor.
5. A pure mind should be born in this way. A mind should not live in color, a mind should not live in sounds, fragrances, and touches. A mind should be born in nothing.
Introduction to Buddhism:
1. "Buddhism" refers to those who belong to Buddhism or are related to Buddhism. Together with Confucianism and Taoism, it constitutes the three spiritual pillars of traditional Chinese culture (the “Three Religions”). Also known as "Shijia".
2. In addition, it can also refer to the pure land of Buddhas. For example: "Avalokitesvara Sutra": "When sitting in the Taoist temple, all Buddhists will be born." Sometimes, "Buddhist" is also used as a title for monks.
