2. Check the condition of the car
You may think that the so-called new car means everything, but it may not be the case. If you love your car as much as I do, and use your car as a toy instead of a tool, then please remove the engine oil and gearbox oil after the new car lands, and replace it with a brand you are familiar with. If you buy a domestic car, you'd better replace the brake oil with a product of at least DOT-4. There is no doubt about the employer, but no doubt about the suspect. Do you rest assured that this brand and unknown grade of oil will remain in your car? Maybe you will replace it with all the fever products you want in the future, but are you like most people who ignore the "virgin period of new cars", which is more important than the running-in period, because they all have a wrong idea that running-in can be made more complete with inferior oil. Show full of flavor, start, turn and brake, and stop in the parking space accurately, Run-in? ! Even so, it is necessary to Run-in. When running-in, we only need to grasp two principles: Smooth and light load. If we can grasp these two principles and use high-quality engine oil, the limitation of speed and speed is not so important. Smooth throttle, Smooth brake, Smooth steering and gear shifting, and feel the load and operation of the engine with your heart. No matter how fast or slow the speed is in the Run-in period, you should avoid driving at constant speed or constant speed for a long time, and let every gear have enough running-in opportunities at various speeds, especially to avoid engine jitter in any case. This is a big taboo in the Run-in period. Self-propelled vehicles must step on the accelerator more gently to minimize the occurrence of Kick-Down, because the hydraulic impact in the torque converter is great when Kick-Down occurs, which will inevitably have negative effects. The braking force should be the same as the engine torque curve of M3, and it should be gradually increased for a period of time, then slightly released before the car stops, and finally gently stepped to ensure that the car does not slip. Run-in is a painful bondage, but it is also regarded as a good opportunity to adjust driving style.
4, 1Km maintenance
1Km maintenance can be said to be the most important maintenance. Please choose a large-scale direct maintenance factory (leave maintenance records to ensure future warranty rights) and supervise the work in person. Here are some small details for your reference when you supervise the work.
5. Change the oil
Please pay special attention when changing the oil. When installing a new oil filter, does the mechanic rub a little oil on the edge of the filter? In this way, the rubber can be prevented from twisting during tightening, resulting in poor tightness and oil leakage. In addition, when adding engine oil, it is ideal to add eight points to the scale of engine oil gauge.
6. Change the automatic transmission oil
When checking the liquid level after changing the ATF, it is necessary to confirm the oil temperature first, because the manual usually requires that the ATF be measured when it reaches the working temperature (5~8 C), so as to avoid the difference of the liquid level height caused by different oil temperatures. Moreover, the gear should stay in the "N" gear, and before being discharged into the "N" gear, you should start from the "P" gear and play each gear for more than two seconds. When the liquid level is too high, the mechanic must be asked to pump out the excess ATF, because the natural enemy of the transmission efficiency of the torque converter of the automatic gearbox is air bubbles, and both inferior ATF and excessive ATF will cause air bubbles, which will reduce the efficiency and produce bad impact during Kick-Down. If your car doesn't have this device, all you can do is to maintain the correct ATF liquid level.
7. Adjust the valve clearance
If the valve clearance is too large, there will be abnormal sound, and if it is too small, it will be difficult to increase the speed. It must be adjusted when it is 1Km, and it is best to adjust it by "four times adjustment method". The adjustment should be made when the car is cold. Although some car types provide the valve clearance values when the car is cold and hot, the definition of hot car is flexible and quite different, 1 C, 8 C, 6 C ... Therefore, it is still better to adjust when the car is cold. It may take 3-4 hours to wait from entering the maintenance factory to complete cooling. I think this is why the maintenance factory will use countless reasons to convince you to accept the lie that "the new car doesn't need to adjust the valve clearance". After all, waiting for cooling is too time-consuming.
8. Check the ignition timing
Before checking the ignition timing, you should first remove the spark plug and check the electrode condition to see if you want to use spark plugs with other calorific values. The abnormality of ignition timing is not easy to detect. Although the timing is too early, it will easily lead to knocking, and if it is too late, the engine output will decrease and fuel consumption will increase, but these are all comparative results, and the criterion for judging is the timing angle provided by the original factory. At present, many vehicles are equipped with knock sensors, but for the sake of long-term stability of the engine, it is recommended that you maintain the angle specified by the original factory, and don't imagine that the engine condition can be greatly improved by advancing the ignition timing.
9. Confirm the free clearance between the steering wheel and each pedal
The free clearance of the steering wheel is an important basis for judging whether the steering system is abnormal, so it is necessary to confirm that the free clearance of the steering wheel is within the standard value during this maintenance. The clearance between clutch, brake and accelerator pedal has an extremely important influence on the smoothness of operation. For a platoon, the relationship between brake and accelerator pedal directly affects Heel &; Toe operation, the ideal state is that the pedal height is just flush with the accelerator pedal after stepping on the brake. And be careful not to let the accelerator pedal have too long "empty window period", which is especially important for the automatic transmission, because for the opponent, the accelerator pedal only controls the throttle valve, but the automatic transmission controls the throttle valve and the throttle sensor at the same time. The throttle sensor is an important parameter of the automatic transmission shift, which means that the free gap of the accelerator pedal will affect the Kick-Down reaction and shift timing of the automatic transmission.
1. Pay attention to the torque of the screw tightness
The tightness of nuts and bolts has been neglected for a long time. The unit of measurement is the torque value: Kg-m, and the tool used is the "torque wrench". It seems that it is rare to see the maintenance factory use the torque wrench except the racing track. A complete user's manual should clearly specify the torque required for the tightness of nuts and bolts commonly used. Take domestic thunderbolt as an example: the torque required for tightening tire nuts is 1 ~ 12 kg-m; Oil drain bolt needs 3 ~ 4 kg-m; The spark plug needs 2 ~ 3 kg-m. With a clear torque value, you don't have to worry about the screw breaking, and you don't have to be a victim of the pneumatic wrench.
11. Other items in the engine room
The inspection items in the engine room are familiar to everyone, so I won't repeat them here. I just remind you not to have too much oil in the power steering wheel to avoid overflowing during intense driving. Then there is the tightness of the timing belt. If it is too loose, it will cause jitter during acceleration and deceleration, and if it is too loose, it will increase the loss of the belt and even cause fracture. The standard of belt tightness must refer to the technical manual of the maintenance factory, and the general manual usually does not provide information.
12, positioning and tires
It is understood that the car factory will not do accurate four-wheel positioning for new cars (there seems to be no positioning instrument on the production line), so it is absolutely worthwhile to do an accurate positioning, which can not only ensure maneuverability, but also avoid abnormal wear and tear of tires and steering systems. When positioning, the tire pressure and the tightness of the fixing screws of the tire and chassis can also be checked at the same time, especially for aluminum alloy wheels. Finally, check the running-in condition of the brake disc, so as to know the normal action of the brake calipers and whether the braking skills are correct. If the disc is uneven and abnormal, then prepare to file a claim.
13. Persistence and regular maintenance
