Arabic mythology used to be polytheistic, but it was later replaced by Muslim religion, and then the original believers were purged as pagans. However, there are still literary records.

Arab Gods

Father God:

Hu Balak (Arabic: ) is the Lord of the Gods and the most famous one. Hubbal's idol is in the Kaaba. The statue is in human form and is carved from red agate, but the broken right palm is replaced with a golden palm[3].

Three goddesses:

1. Lat (Arabic:) is the moon god and one of the three goddesses of Mecca[4].

2. Uzzah (Arabic: ?) is the goddess of fertility, known as the "powerful goddess", and is one of the three major goddesses of Mecca. The Arabs only prayed to her for protection and victory before launching a war, which shows the importance of her status[5].

3. Manat (Arabic:

) is one of the three goddesses of Mecca. Arabs believe that she is the goddess of fate. Hishām Ibn al-Kalbī's Kitāb al-Asnām states that Manat is the oldest of the three goddesses. Arabs once named their children "Abd Manat" and "Zaid Manat". The idol of Manat was erected on the beach between Mecca and Medina, near al-Mushallal in Qudayd. All Arabs once worshiped Manat and offered sacrifices to her. Arabs from the Aws and Khazraj tribes of Yashrib and other areas will go to various holy places for pilgrimage, but they do not shave their heads. When they were ready to return home after completing their pilgrimage, they first went to the holy place where Manat was located, where they shaved their heads and stayed for a while. Only when they went to worship Manat did they feel that the pilgrimage was successfully completed[6].
