By the end of his career, Bei Lini had become one of the greatest landscape painters at that time. His ability to describe outdoor light is so superb and skillful that viewers can not only tell which season it is, but even when it is. Bei Lini lived long enough to witness the school of painting he founded occupy a place in the art world. He deeply influenced his students, among whom giorgione and Titian were even more famous than him. In 1516, Bei Lini died in Venice. German painter Diu Lei once said: "Although he is old, he is still the best painter." In the 65 years since he developed into a great artist, he brought Venice's painting from the backward style in the countryside to the front line of the Renaissance and became the mainstream of western art.
