Extended information:

The author of the poem "Feelings of Encounter·Part One" is Zhang Jiuling (678-740), also known as Zishou, a natural history scholar and posthumous scholar. A native of Qujiang, Shaozhou (now Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province) in the Tang Dynasty, he was known as "Zhang Qujiang" or "Wenwen Gong" in the world. Zhang Jiuling is a famous politician, writer, poet, and prime minister with courage and vision.

His five-character ancient poems have a light style, simple and plain language, and convey far-reaching hopes for life. They made a great contribution to eradicating the Six Dynasties poetic style followed in the early Tang Dynasty. There is "Qujiang Collection". Known as "the first person in Lingnan". As the last famous figure in the "Kaiyuan Dynasty", Zhang Jiuling was deeply respected by people of his time. Both Wang Wei and Du Fu wrote poems praising him.

He once appointed Meng Haoran as a staff member of the Jingzhou Prefecture, and promoted Wang Wei to the right Supplementary Works. Du Fu also wanted to present his works to him in his early years, but failed to do so. Looking back on it in his later years, he still felt it was a pity. Sun Zhu's anthology selected Zhang Jiuling's poem as the first of "Three Hundred Tang Poems". The reason may be a combination of the following four reasons:

2. Zhang Jiuling achieved the official position of prime minister;

3. Zhang Jiuling’s character.

4. The literary level of this poem.

In the twenty-fourth year of Kaiyuan, Zhang Jiuling was ridiculed by Li Linfu and was dismissed and demoted. After that, Zhang Jiuling composed twelve poems "Gan Yu", which was the first of the twelve poems.

The beginning is a pair of neat couplets, describing two plants that literati consider to be extremely elegant: spring orchid and autumn osmanthus. The poet is from Qujiang, Guangdong. There are many osmanthus trees in this area. The poet was moved by the scenery. In order to intertextualize with the osmanthus, he also wrote orchid, orchid for orchid leaves, and osmanthus for osmanthus. But in fact, they both refer to the whole plant of orchid and osmanthus, Wei. Rui, written as orchid, means both lushness and diversity. When spring comes, the orchids bloom to welcome the spring and change their skin with infinite vitality;

The osmanthus leaves are dark green and the osmanthus is bright yellow. In contrast, the feeling of bright and clean is reflected. , so the word "bright" is used to describe Qiu Gui's elegant characteristics. The poet uses two neat couplets to describe two plants that literati love.
