In fact, the cruel reality has already emerged, and you don’t have to wait for the next life to know the accuracy of the records in the Buddhist scriptures.
Some people grew up in wealthy families with numerous relatives and friends. When he was young, his family fell into ruin due to poverty, and he was completely penniless. Even his neighbors despised him, and it was as if his life had changed. Relatives cannot last forever, and relationships do not last forever, so they must be lost. Money flows all the time. One's own cells are replaced every day. Everything gradually decays under the influence of oxidation. There is almost nothing left. In the next life, it will be a different family, a different environment, a different life. Culture, if you change your concept, you will inevitably change your feelings. You will become another self, but you can still call yourself yourself.
What makes people most doubtful about this life, the past, and the next life is "memory." Because we normal people in this life have this thing called "memory". Therefore, we regard ourselves who are different from moment to moment as continuous, related, and sympathetic selves. And, on the positive side, we have experience and can witness it ourselves, so we know how to pave the way for our future. For example, when we receive wages, we know how to allocate them and use them. We will not spend carelessly regardless of the consequences, hurt others at will, or cause trouble for ourselves in the future. On the negative side, we linger in our memories, and others hurt us for a few minutes. Some people remember it for years and don’t let it go, making them sad when they think about it. This is an example of the positive and negative harm that “memory” brings to us.
Master, think about it. We have been circulating in the six paths since beginningless time. Of course, we have more suffering and less joy. If we have memories, how can we still live our lives? The whole person is intoxicated in the joy or pain of memory, making it difficult to move forward. Although, people can do good deeds and pave the way for the future.
There are merits, blessings, and karma that follow you from life to life; even year by year, month by month, day by day, only these three things follow you. Although these three things are not said to be eternal, they are not cultivated. On the day I left the Six Paths, I still carried it with me. Merits and blessings are like receiving wages after hard work. Karma is bad retribution.
In this life, it is best to cultivate blessings as the basis and seek rebirth in the paradise world as the goal. If possible, it would be more ideal to practice Buddhism and become a living Bodhisattva.
